JOB PURPOSE:

The Officer will assist in formulating and implementing the Bank’s strategic initiatives while performing business analysis and monitoring performance metrics to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

Overseeing a comprehensive range of strategic initiatives, the position entails leading and executing key projects that align with organizational objectives, ensuring seamless collaboration across departments to drive efficiency and innovation. The role demands meticulous planning, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a clear focus on delivering measurable results. Responsibilities include developing and implementing policies, optimizing workflows, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement through data-driven decision-making. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for mentoring teams, monitoring performance metrics, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Assist in advancing and implementing the Bank’s key strategic initiatives through conducting research, performing analyses, and preparing documentation.

Perform comprehensive market, industry, and competitive analyses to detect emerging trends, potential opportunities, and inherent risks, subsequently compiling and presenting detailed summary reports for stakeholder evaluation.

Support the examination of internal performance data, financial trends, and operational metrics to facilitate well-informed decision-making processes.

Prepare business cases, strategic presentations, and executive-level reports to support management and key stakeholders in decision-making processes.

Provide support in converting data and analysis into practical, actionable insights, working in collaboration with senior analysts or managers.

Engage in thorough evaluations of business processes to pinpoint deficiencies, inefficiencies, and potential areas for enhancement.

Drive process improvement and optimization efforts by thoroughly documenting current procedures and designing proposed enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Assist in eliciting, documenting, and evaluating requirements for innovative products, systems, or process improvements.

Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) processes by preparing detailed test cases, managing feedback collection, and documenting reported issues.

Assist in overseeing project operations, tracking milestones, and verifying deliverables to ensure timely task completion.

Compile meeting notes, reports, dashboards, and presentations to effectively convey findings and progress updates to stakeholders.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to collect necessary information, define precise requirements, and facilitate the successful implementation of projects.

Ensure meticulous documentation, standardized processes, and comprehensive records are maintained in alignment with strategy and business analysis initiatives.

Remain current with industry trends, advancements in process improvement methodologies, and emerging technologies pertinent to the Bank.

EDUCATION:

A university degree or HND in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or a closely related field from a recognized institution is required.

Skills essential for successful execution of job responsibilities include strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, proficiency in relevant software applications, and exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Candidates must demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, the capacity to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a team. Prior experience with project management methodologies and a proven track record of meeting deadlines are also required. Additionally, familiarity with industry-specific tools and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development are highly valued.

Demonstrates extensive expertise and practical experience with Microsoft Office, SQL, Power BI, and related tools.

A keen eye for detail and strong communication abilities are essential for this role.

Proven capability to consistently deliver high-quality work within strict time constraints.

Demonstrated success in roles requiring quantitative analysis and problem-solving skills.

Seeking a candidate with a proven track record in the field, having accumulated substantial hands-on experience in relevant roles. The ideal applicant will possess at least five years of specialized experience, supported by a portfolio of completed projects that demonstrate expertise. Familiarity with industry-standard tools and methodologies is essential, along with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently. Prior leadership or mentorship responsibilities, if applicable, will be highly regarded.

A minimum of five years of professional experience, preferably within a financial institution, is required.
