Oversee the full range of daily operations to ensure seamless and efficient workflow, maintaining high standards of productivity and performance. Monitor team activities, delegate tasks appropriately, and provide guidance to foster professional growth and accountability. Develop and implement strategies to optimize processes, reduce inefficiencies, and enhance overall quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align objectives, share insights, and drive cohesive project execution. Address challenges promptly, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective measures to mitigate risks and sustain operational excellence. Maintain accurate records, track key performance indicators, and prepare comprehensive reports to inform decision-making and strategic planning.

Oversee the day-to-day management of library functions, including circulation procedures and patron support services.

Responsible for organizing, categorizing, and arranging books in their designated locations, ensuring the collection remains accessible and systematically structured. Duties include maintaining the correct placement of materials, verifying shelf order, and promptly addressing any misplaced or damaged items to uphold the integrity of the library’s inventory.

Process incoming materials, execute necessary repairs, perform binding tasks, and maintain accurate updates on book statuses.

Responsibilities include managing data entry tasks for patron and title records, organizing incoming mail, and participating in staff meetings to ensure effective communication and workflow coordination.

Oversee the organization and upkeep of collection and library support programs to ensure efficient functionality and accessibility.

Seeking a candidate with a minimum of five years of experience in a pertinent field, preferably holding a degree in a related discipline. The ideal applicant must demonstrate proficiency in specific software tools and technologies essential to the role. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities are required, along with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Experience in project management or leading initiatives is highly desirable. The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment is crucial. Knowledge of industry best practices and compliance standards is mandatory.

A Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Library Science, History, or a closely related discipline is required for consideration.

Proficiency in both written and verbal English, along with meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational abilities, is essential.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the capacity to quickly acquire and utilize computer-integrated Library Systems are essential.

Proficiency in a library or academic setting is highly desirable.

Individuals who possess an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) and are 30 years of age or younger are eligible to apply.
