The Supplier Quality Engineering Specialist will be responsible for advancing quality standards among designated suppliers, overseeing the implementation of quality plans. They will evaluate and select suppliers through established qualification processes. The role involves taking full ownership of supplier performance metrics, spearheading enhancements through the use of supplier scorecards. Additionally, the Specialist will lead supplier audits, ensuring adherence to compliance requirements, and implementing targeted improvement initiatives as necessary. As a Supplier Quality Engineering Specialist, your primary duties will involve overseeing and ensuring the quality standards of suppliers, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality-related issues, and implementing robust quality control processes to mitigate risks and enhance product reliability. Manages both Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development functions, encompassing supplier qualifications, corrective action plans, audits, ongoing performance tracking, and guiding key suppliers to achieve industry-leading quality standards. The role requires varying levels of technical proficiency, specifically in interpreting engineering drawings and effectively overseeing vendor relationships, with differentiation based on these competencies.
Functional managers are provided expert guidance on project execution, process optimization, and procedural adherence within the designated domain.
Managing interactions with internal colleagues and business stakeholders regarding design and coordination services provided.
As either a contributing team member or a project lead, you will collaborate on initiatives that generally span 3 to 6 months in duration. The anticipated timeframe for realizing results or measurable impact typically ranges from 2 to 12 months following project completion.
To excel in this position, you will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in the following key areas:
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college is required, or alternatively, a Technical Diploma combined with at least four years of hands-on Quality experience.
Minimum of three years of additional experience in Supplier Quality Engineering is required.
Possesses the capability to oversee and administer daily operational activities with precision and efficiency.
Demonstrates strong proficiency in both verbal and written communication, ensuring clarity and effectiveness in all professional interactions.
A track record of outstanding interpersonal abilities and demonstrated leadership experience.
