Job Summary

We are seeking a warm, experienced, and dedicated Senior Caregiver to join our crèche team.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for caring for infants and young children, strong leadership skills, and the ability to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that supports children’s growth and development.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care and supervision for infants and toddlers.

Support children’s physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development through age-appropriate activities.

Assist with feeding, sleeping, toileting, and hygiene routines.

Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of children at all times.

Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organised childcare environment.

Supervise and support junior caregivers and childcare assistants.

Keep accurate records of attendance, feeding, sleeping, medication, and incidents.

Build and maintain positive relationships with parents and guardians.

Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development activities.

Perform other duties as may be reasonably assigned by management from time to time.

Requirements

Minimum of OND, NCE, or equivalent qualification in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Nursing, or a related field.

3–5 years’ experience in a crèche, nursery, daycare, or childcare setting.

Previous supervisory experience will be an added advantage.

Knowledge of child development and childcare best practices.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong leadership, organisational, and record-keeping skills.

First Aid and CPR certification will be an added advantage.

Must be patient, compassionate, reliable, and passionate about working with children.
