Runoffs is looking for a meticulous and skilled QA/QC Laboratory Assistant to assist with quality assurance and quality control processes in our feed production facilities.
Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of critical duties to ensure operational excellence, including managing daily workflows, coordinating team activities, and implementing strategic initiatives to drive productivity and efficiency. Collaborate closely with cross-functional departments to align objectives, streamline processes, and foster a cohesive work environment. Monitor performance metrics, analyze data trends, and propose data-driven solutions to enhance decision-making and optimize outcomes. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry regulations, and quality standards while maintaining strict adherence to deadlines and project milestones. Provide leadership by mentoring team members, delegating tasks effectively, and cultivating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Serve as a liaison between senior management and operational teams to facilitate transparent communication and support the achievement of overarching business goals.
Perform regular laboratory examinations of raw materials, in-process samples, and final products to ensure compliance with established standards.
Provide support for quality assurance evaluations and oversight of manufacturing operations.
Prepare, document, and verify precise laboratory test results and corresponding reports with meticulous attention to detail.
Guarantee adherence to established quality standards, internal company protocols, and all relevant regulatory mandates.
Monitor product quality and promptly escalate any deviations or non-conformities for further review and corrective action.
Oversee the upkeep and functionality of all laboratory equipment while upholding meticulous cleanliness and organization within the laboratory environment.
Assist with gathering, preparing, and preserving samples to ensure their integrity and availability for analysis.
Drive ongoing enhancements to quality assurance and quality control processes within the department.
Must possess a minimum of three years of relevant experience in the field, preferably in a managerial or leadership role. A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline is required, with an MBA or advanced degree considered advantageous. Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and strategic planning is essential. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary to collaborate effectively across departments and manage stakeholder relationships. Exceptional organizational abilities and a keen eye for detail are vital for overseeing multiple projects and ensuring operational efficiency. Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools is a must, along with a commitment to staying updated on market trends and regulatory changes.
A Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemistry, Animal Science, Food Science & Technology, Laboratory Technology, or a closely related discipline is required.
A minimum of two years of relevant laboratory, quality assurance, or quality control experience is required, with prior involvement in feed mill or manufacturing environments considered a valuable asset.
Strong proficiency in analytical thinking and report generation is required.
Demonstrates advanced competency in utilizing Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with a strong emphasis on efficiency and accuracy in completing tasks.
Requires meticulous attention to detail and the capacity to operate effectively with limited oversight.
Proven ability to communicate effectively and collaborate seamlessly within a team environment.
