Role Summary

The Medical Officer / Practice Manager will deliver both clinical and operational leadership for Nordic’s GIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound) service line and comprehensive women’s health services.

This position integrates direct patient care consultations with strategic clinical coordination, alongside overseeing practice management duties, to uphold high standards of service excellence, patient satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

The successful applicant must demonstrate robust clinical decision-making abilities, exceptional interpersonal communication, and proficiency in coordinating multidisciplinary teams within a dynamic women’s healthcare setting.

Oversee a comprehensive range of duties encompassing strategic planning, operational execution, and performance evaluation to ensure organizational objectives are consistently met. Liaise with cross-functional teams to foster collaboration, streamline processes, and drive efficiency across projects. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to uphold compliance, mitigate risks, and enhance overall productivity. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess progress, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed. Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior leadership to support data-driven decision-making and strategic initiatives. Manage stakeholder relationships to align expectations, address concerns, and cultivate a positive and productive work environment.

Under clinical duties, the incumbent will be tasked with delivering patient care, conducting thorough medical evaluations, performing diagnostic procedures, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Additionally, the role requires adherence to established medical protocols, ensuring accurate documentation in patient records, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The position demands strong clinical judgment, proficiency in evidence-based practice, and the ability to prioritize patient safety and quality of care while working efficiently in fast-paced environments.

Perform comprehensive patient consultations, thorough assessments, and detailed follow-up evaluations for individuals presenting with fibroids and other gynecological conditions.

Assist in the assessment and determination of patient eligibility for High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (GIFU) and other minimally invasive treatments.

Evaluate imaging results, laboratory findings, and patient medical histories in coordination with consulting specialists.

Deliver comprehensive patient education and counseling services, ensuring individuals are fully informed about treatment options, anticipated outcomes, and the recovery process.

Facilitate the implementation and coordination of clinical care pathways before and after procedures.

Ensure the precision and integrity of clinical documentation and electronic medical records at all times.

Engage in clinical audits, case evaluations, and quality enhancement programs to ensure adherence to standards and drive continuous improvement.

GIFU Service Support involves providing technical assistance and troubleshooting for High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound systems. This role requires expertise in medical device maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include repairing equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and training staff on proper usage. Strong problem-solving skills and familiarity with ultrasound technology are essential, along with excellent communication abilities to interact with healthcare professionals and clients.

Oversee the organization and execution of High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (GIFU) procedure schedules and operational workflows.

Facilitate seamless collaboration and information exchange among physicians, nursing professionals, radiology technicians, and administrative personnel.

Evaluate patient experience metrics and oversee the seamless delivery of care throughout the entire treatment process.

Support the monitoring and documentation of patient outcomes while preparing related reports.

Facilitate awareness initiatives, patient seminars, and educational programs focused on GIFU services.

Oversee the operational aspects of the practice, ensuring adherence to administrative protocols and regulatory standards. Manage day-to-day operations, including scheduling, staff coordination, and workflow optimization. Implement policies to enhance efficiency, patient care, and compliance with healthcare regulations. Supervise financial processes, such as billing, budgeting, and expense tracking, to maintain fiscal responsibility. Facilitate communication between healthcare providers and administrative staff to support seamless operations. Ensure compliance with all legal and ethical requirements related to healthcare practice management.

Provide assistance in managing billing processes, compiling reports, and monitoring key performance indicators related to operations.

Facilitate and contribute to various research initiatives, ensuring the collection, analysis, and dissemination of accurate data and findings.

Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, quality standards, and patient care protocols to maintain compliance and operational integrity.

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate with a minimum of five years of relevant work experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field. The ideal applicant will possess strong analytical skills, exceptional communication abilities, and proficiency in industry-standard software tools. Familiarity with regulatory compliance and project management methodologies is essential. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or an equivalent medical qualification, accompanied by full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria is required.

With a minimum of four years of postings clinical experience, you will possess the necessary expertise to excel in this role.

Proficiency in women’s health, fertility, radiology, or minimally invasive procedures is highly desirable.

Desirable qualifications include prior experience in healthcare operations or practice management.
