We are seeking a capable professional to oversee and execute a diverse range of tasks integral to our operational success. We are in search of an experienced and capable Terminal Operations Manager to oversee our 24/7 terminal operations with a strong emphasis on safety, efficiency, and profitability.

This position oversees the comprehensive operations of the terminal facility, encompassing the receipt, storage, and dispatch of LPG, white products (such as PMS, AGO, and DPK), and bitumen.

The ideal candidate will uphold product integrity, achieve throughput targets, and adhere rigorously to HSE and regulatory standards.

Oversee a range of critical duties, including managing daily operations, developing and implementing strategic plans, and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. Collaborate across departments to optimize workflows, allocate resources efficiently, and enhance overall productivity. Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and mentor team members to foster professional growth and ensure alignment with organizational goals. Analyze metrics and key performance indicators to identify trends, address inefficiencies, and drive continuous improvement. Maintain open communication channels with stakeholders to facilitate transparency and alignment on key initiatives.

Operational leadership involves overseeing and directing daily terminal operations, such as coordinating tanker ship unloading, managing pipeline scheduling, and supervising road gantry operations.

Production & Throughput: Develop and execute daily schedules designed to fulfill customer nominations while meeting established throughput and turnaround benchmarks, including maintaining truck turnaround times under four hours.

LPG & Bitumen Oversight: Responsible for managing the daily operations of an LPG cylinder filling facility and ensuring the processing and blending of bitumen products adhere to specified standards.

Quality & Inventory Control: Guarantee product integrity by conducting rigorous lab and quality assurance testing while ensuring precise stock accounting, with a focus on minimizing stock losses to less than 0.3%.

Maintenance & Asset Management: Responsible for the oversight of terminal equipment maintenance, ensuring compliance with API 653 and other relevant industry standards, while also managing both capital expenditure (CAPEX) and operational expenditure (OPEX) budgets.

Championing the company’s HSE policy, you will drive efforts to achieve zero Lost Time Injury Frequency Rates (LT IFR) while ensuring strict adherence to DPR/NAGPRA regulatory codes.

Lead, develop, and mentor the terminal team while collaborating closely with HR to oversee all aspects of recruitment, training initiatives, and performance evaluations, ensuring a productive and supportive workplace culture.

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required, along with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a related role. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, complemented by expertise in [specific software/tool/process relevant to the job]. Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, are necessary to collaborate effectively across teams. Candidates must demonstrate a proven track record of delivering results within tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Familiarity with [specific industry regulations, standards, or frameworks] is highly preferred. Additionally, experience in [specific task, e.g., project management, data analysis, client relations] is advantageous.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or a closely related field is required for consideration.

A minimum of 15 to 20 years of professional experience in engineering or the oil and gas sector is required, with at least six years dedicated to oil terminal operations—encompassing pipeline management as well as tanker and barge shipping activities.

Requires a minimum of three years of direct supervisory experience, preferably within fuel terminal maintenance or environmental compliance operations.

Certifications required include a valid nursing license and a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Additionally, one or more of the following credentials are preferred: Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), Certified Critical Care Nurse (CCRN), or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Industrial safety accreditations aligned with ISO standards and credentials in project management are required.

Certified Facility Spill Coordinator and On-Scene Coordinator, holding a 40-hour response training certification.

Professional HARPER 24-hour certification is required for personnel serving as On-Scene Incident Commanders.

Technical and Behavioral Competencies encompass a blend of specialized skills and interpersonal attributes essential for success in this role. Proficiency in technical domains such as software development, data analysis, or systems engineering is required, alongside expertise in specific tools, methodologies, or frameworks relevant to the position. Equally important are behavioral competencies, including effective communication, problem-solving, teamwork, adaptability, and leadership, which ensure smooth collaboration and high performance within the organization. Candidates must demonstrate a balanced combination of these competencies to thrive in dynamic and challenging work environments.

Requires extensive technical expertise in LPG handling, white product logistics, and terminal automation systems, including SCADA and tank gauging.

Demonstrates a robust knowledge of API 650, API 653, and NFPA 58 standards.

Demonstrated capability to oversee and navigate high-stakes scenarios, including product transfers and vessel berthing, with a strong commitment to safety leadership.

Demonstrates outstanding stakeholder engagement capabilities when collaborating with regulators, contractors, and customers.
