ABOUT THE JOB
The Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health (ASH) Assistant at Ekklesiyar An’UWA a Nigeria (EYE) serves as a field-based professional dedicated to expanding access to vital sexual and reproductive information and services for women and girls in Northeast Nigeria, specifically within Polka and Gaza Local Government Areas of Born State. This position encompasses critical responsibilities, including improving service accessibility, reinforcing referral mechanisms for adolescent care, and empowering partners and staff through targeted capacity-building initiatives focused on gender-based violence (GBV) and ASH challenges, ultimately fostering improved health outcomes for youth in the region.

The primary duties encompass overseeing daily operations, ensuring adherence to company policies and industry regulations, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency across all projects. The ASH Assistant will handle all duties outlined below, along with any related responsibilities that logically extend from those explicitly specified, ensuring comprehensive support in all assigned tasks.
Facilitate both group-based educational workshops and one-on-one counselling sessions focused on sexual and reproductive health services.
Facilitate thorough sexuality education workshops and parent group sessions designed for adolescents and their caregivers.
Offer expert direction and support during training sessions for Community Health Volunteers, focusing specifically on Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health services.
Conduct safe motherhood sessions specifically tailored for pregnant adolescents to ensure comprehensive care and support throughout their pregnancy journey.
Adapt all pertinent ASH IEC materials to align with program facility requirements and oversee the reprinting of essential ASH publications to facilitate distribution.
Assist in the planning and implementation of the sensitization campaign focused on Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health (ASH) services within the community.
Organize campaigns related to ASRH
Organize and facilitate community dialogue meetings with religious and community leaders to introduce adolescent sexual and reproductive health (ASH) services and youth-friendly corners, while securing their endorsement and involvement.
During health coordination meetings, present the current project progress and relevant program data to stakeholders.
Prepare weekly and monthly activity reports, summarizing key metrics, accomplishments, and progress updates for review.

QUALIFICATION:
A Diploma or B.Sc. in any related sciences or Public Health field
We seek candidates with at least two years of hands-on experience in designing and executing Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health (ASH) programs, particularly in emergency settings.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and equipped with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated proficiency in relevant technical and functional areas, encompassing both theoretical understanding and practical application. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex information and derive actionable insights.
