ABOUT THE JOB
The Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health (ASH) Assistant at Ekklesiyar An’UWA a Nigeria (EYE) operates in a field-based capacity, dedicated to expanding access to sexual and reproductive information and services for women and girls across Northeast Nigeria, specifically within Polka and Gaza Local Government Areas of Born State. This position entails improving service accessibility, reinforcing referral systems for adolescent healthcare, and empowering partners and staff through targeted capacity-building initiatives on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and ASH topics to advance youth health outcomes.
LOCATION: PULKA
Oversee and execute key operational duties, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry standards. Provide leadership in managing daily workflows, fostering efficiency, and optimizing team performance. Implement strategic initiatives to enhance productivity, maintain high-quality outputs, and drive continuous improvement. Collaborate cross-functionally to align projects with broader business goals, ensuring seamless integration of processes. Monitor progress through established metrics, addressing challenges proactively to sustain operational excellence.
The ASH Assistant will handle all duties outlined below, as well as any additional responsibilities that naturally arise from those explicitly mentioned.
Facilitate structured group education sessions and one-on-one counselling to address sexual and reproductive health service needs.
Facilitate thorough sexuality education sessions and structured parent group meetings tailored for adolescents and their caregivers.
Offer expert-led educational support to Community Health Volunteers regarding Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health services during training sessions.
Conduct safe motherhood sessions specifically designed for pregnant adolescents to ensure their well-being and that of their unborn children.
Adapt all pertinent ASH IEC materials to align with the program’s facilities and ensure the reprinting of essential ASH publications for effective dissemination.
Take an active role in facilitating and supporting the sensitization campaign focused on adolescent sexual and reproductive health (ASH) services within the community.
Organize campaigns related to ASRH
Organize and facilitate community dialogue sessions with religious and community leaders to introduce adolescent sexual and reproductive health (ASH) services and youth-friendly corners, while securing their endorsement and active involvement.
During health coordination meetings, deliver comprehensive updates on project progress and associated program data to stakeholders.
Compile and submit comprehensive weekly and monthly activity reports ensuring thorough documentation and analysis of operational progress and outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS: This role mandates a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
