Position Summary

He or she collaborates closely with the Deputy Country Director overseeing programs and the Regional Technical Protection Coordinator—functionally linked—to design thematic approaches and methodologies for the Protection strategy, ensuring their adaptation and implementation at the national level.

He or she plays a key role in programmatic decision-making by overseeing the adoption and monitoring of Protection indicators within the Nigeria Delegation, as well as validating the indicators and their corresponding analyses.

Technical support is provided by this individual to ensure the effective implementation and oversight of Protection operations, projects, and methodologies across all dimensions at the delegation level.

The role involves disseminating Protection expertise and best practices to the TDI Nigeria Delegation teams through training and coaching initiatives.

He ensures the effective management of knowledge in relation to Protection within the delegation.

He or she guarantees that projects and interventions in Protection adhere to international standards as well as those set by Terry DES homes (TDI), ensuring both quality and alignment.

He or she is responsible for providing technical support and ensuring the quality control of programs related to Protection within the delegation.

He or she establishes and nurtures high-level alliances within the Protection sector and related domains at a national scale.

With a proven track record in the field, candidates should possess hands-on experience in a similar role. A minimum of three years of relevant professional experience is required, with a preference for those who have demonstrated success in comparable positions. A minimum of five years of professional experience in the child protection sector is required, with at least three of those years dedicated to technical advisory positions, capacity-building initiatives, and team leadership responsibilities.

Experienced in designing, implementing, and overseeing child protection initiatives, with expertise in conducting needs and resource assessments, as well as integrating protection measures across diverse sectors and programs.
