Overview

As a Trainee Accountant, you will deliver comprehensive support to internal personnel and external clients, primarily collaborating with our Accounting team.

Your responsibilities will encompass supporting daily financial operations, including tasks such as data entry, month-end VAT returns, management accounts, year-end financial accounts, and tax returns.

As a trainee Accountant, you will receive comprehensive organizational support, including access to essential resources and educational tools, as you progress toward achieving Chartered Accountant status.

Our Trainee Accountants are required to achieve full qualification as Chartered Accountants within a three-year period of employment with our firm.

Accurately maintaining and processing client records through specialized accountancy software ensures precision and consistency in financial documentation.

Compilation of Value-Added Tax declarations alongside the production of management accounting reports forms a core component of this role.

Providing administrative support entails managing a variety of essential tasks, such as greeting and directing clients, maintaining organized filing systems, handling incoming telephone calls, and collaborating with the Accounts team to ensure timely completion of deadlines as needed.

The ideal candidate must possess strong analytical skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a minimum of five years of relevant experience in the field. Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools, along with a deep understanding of best practices, is essential. A bachelor’s degree in a related discipline is required, and relevant certifications are a plus.
