This position is a full-time hybrid role requiring the Community Manager to be based in Lagos, with occasional opportunities for remote work arrangements.
The Community Manager will cultivate and expand both digital and in-person communities, actively interacting with members to facilitate meaningful dialogue and enhance their overall experience.
Primary responsibilities involve developing and managing content strategies, overseeing community interactions, coordinating and executing community events, and evaluating engagement metrics to pinpoint opportunities for enhancement.
This position requires close collaboration with various internal teams to ensure alignment between community objectives and broader business goals.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required. Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++ is essential. At least five years of experience in software development, with a proven track record in designing scalable systems, is necessary. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and DevOps practices is preferred. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in Agile environments are also required. Familiarity with databases (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and version control systems (e.g., Git) is a must.
Effective communication, interpersonal abilities, and proficient relationship management are essential competencies for this position.
Seasoned professionals with a strong background in Social Media Management, Content Creation, and Community Engagement are encouraged to apply.
