The Packing Plant Operator ensures the seamless and productive functioning of machinery and systems within the cement packing facility. This position requires overseeing the accurate packing, weighing, and dispatching of cement in alignment with production objectives, all while upholding stringent safety protocols, quality benchmarks, and workplace cleanliness standards.

To meet the established packing target of 750 metric tons of cement per twelve-hour shift, maintain consistent productivity and operational efficiency.
At the commencement of each shift, report directly to the Shift Manager to obtain detailed instructions and assigned tasks.
Ensure seamless transition of operational responsibilities between shifts to maintain uninterrupted workflow and service delivery.
Operate packing plant machinery, including packers, autoloaders, and other equipment, with a high degree of efficiency, ideally utilizing automatic (auto) mode.
Consistently verify the weight of each cement bag to ensure compliance with the 50 kg requirement, promptly escalating any discrepancies to the Supervisor for immediate review and resolution.
Ensure rejected or damaged (busted) bags are stacked and labeled meticulously in designated areas to mitigate contamination risks and prevent loss.
Ensure the packing area remains staffed at all times; maintain a constant presence at the workstation throughout operations.
Before departing the work area for any reason, ensure that you obtain the necessary permission.
Ensure a clean and safe workspace by systematically removing rejected materials and maintaining meticulous housekeeping standards.
Perform regular equipment inspections and promptly notify the Shift Supervisor or Maintenance team of any mechanical or process-related issues.
Facilitate seamless communication and a thorough handover process to the incoming operator as the shift concludes.
Comply with all organizational policies and safety protocols, encompassing ISO Management Systems, specifically Quality Management System (QMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OHSA).
Seeking a candidate with a minimum of three years of relevant experience in the field, proficiency in industry-standard software tools, and a strong understanding of project management methodologies. The ideal applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or possess equivalent professional experience, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and exhibit the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Additionally, familiarity with regulatory compliance standards and a commitment to continuous learning are essential.
A relevant technical field (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance) requires WAS/GCE/SSC certification or a Trade Test I, II, or III.
A minimum of two to nine years of hands-on experience in cement packing, manufacturing, or industrial operations is required.
Demonstrates proficiency in interpreting, composing, and adhering to standard operating procedures.
Proficient in fostering effective communication and collaborative teamwork.
Able to perform both manual and technical duties with physical fitness and technical proficiency.
