Job Summary:
The Delivery Driver’s primary function involves transporting company gas products along specified routes to ensure timely delivery and distribution to customers. This role requires the operation of delivery vehicles to fulfill customer orders efficiently and reliably.
Oversee the execution of critical duties including managing team workflows, ensuring adherence to project timelines, and maintaining high standards of quality across deliverables. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to align objectives, facilitate communication, and drive project success. Monitor performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic initiatives that enhance productivity and efficiency. Develop and mentor team members through coaching and professional development opportunities, fostering a culture of continuous learning and accountability. Serve as a liaison between senior leadership and operational teams to streamline processes and ensure organizational goals are met.
Responsible for transporting and delivering gas products to customers, ensuring timely and reliable service while fostering and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Deliver comprehensive product information and technical assistance to customers upon request.
Operate the delivery van to ensure timely product deliveries while upholding cleanliness and operational efficiency of the vehicle.
Provide support to operators by loading gas cylinders onto vehicles.
Oversee van inventory management, perform daily stock reconciliations, and document any discrepancies identified during the process.
Accurately document sales transactions, track customer interactions, and maintain detailed delivery logs for organizational records.
Qualifications:
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with a minimum of three years of experience in software development. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ is essential, along with a strong grasp of algorithms and data structures. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure, as well as familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines, is highly desirable. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in delivery or driving roles is required.
A valid driver’s license accompanied by an impeccable driving history is required.
Proficiency in operating both manual and automatic transmissions, with a particular emphasis on driving mini buses and vans, is required.
Demonstrates a consistent commitment to diligence and reliability in all professional responsibilities, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on schedule while maintaining high standards of work quality.
Proficiency in Lagos’ transportation networks and supply chain pathways is required.
