Oversee and manage a range of critical responsibilities, ensuring seamless execution of tasks to drive organizational success. Support the implementation of R-DATS project development, research, monitoring, and evaluation activities.

This role offers a prime chance to acquire significant hands-on expertise in conducting research, implementing surveys, and managing data effectively.

The NYC Survey Data Analysis Intern will be tasked with performing the following duties:

Support the execution of research initiatives, including baseline studies, impact assessments, and mid-term evaluations.

Collaborate in the development of instruments for gathering data and formulate detailed strategies for its analysis.

Facilitate data collection, input, verification, and refinement processes to ensure accuracy and integrity.

Ensure strict adherence to data quality protocols throughout the processes of data collection and cleaning.

Responsibilities include collecting and organizing data, conducting basic analyses, creating visual representations of data, compiling reports, and sharing findings with stakeholders.

Collaborate with the RATS team to compile reports, organize data, and share success stories and lessons learned.

Provide assistance in organizing and facilitating day-to-day research activities in alignment with established project implementation schedules.

Perform additional responsibilities as directed by the supervisor, as needed.

Requirements

A Bachelor of Science degree in Demography, Economics, Statistics, Sociology, Public Health, or other quantitative disciplines is required.

Proficiency in utilizing State or SPSS for survey data analysis is a prerequisite for this role.

Requires expertise in quantitative analysis and proficiency with data visualization and statistical tools, including Tableau, Power BI, and Microsoft Excel.

Proficiency in research methodologies, survey data analysis, and program monitoring and evaluation (M&E) is strongly preferred.

Proficiency in utilizing extensive secondary datasets, including MICS, DHS, and NARKS, is highly beneficial.

Demonstrates outstanding proficiency in both verbal and written English communication, accompanied by a commitment to quality and meticulous attention to detail.

Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and a proven capacity to collaborate effectively with teams from varied backgrounds.

Capable of executing responsibilities autonomously, resolving challenges efficiently, and seeking necessary assistance in a timely manner when required.

Proven ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and PowerPoint, with a high degree of competency.
