Evaluate and provide feedback on discipline engineering tasks completed internally as well as by contractors and subcontractors to confirm that all work aligns with project specifications, company standards, and applicable regulatory mandates.
Delivers disciplined engineering and design processes in strict alignment with project objectives, goals, and established protocols.
Ensures precise and prompt dissemination of information regarding discipline engineering activities, progress, and issues to the Project Team and other relevant Company departments. Alongside technical proficiency, candidates must exhibit strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal capabilities.
Execute a comprehensive range of duties encompassing strategic planning, operational oversight, and performance monitoring to ensure organizational objectives are met. Oversee project execution, team coordination, and resource allocation while maintaining rigorous adherence to established policies, procedures, and compliance standards. Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to align departmental goals, resolve operational challenges, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Analyze performance metrics, identify inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions to enhance productivity and efficiency across all business functions. Prepare and present detailed reports to senior leadership, highlighting key achievements, risks, and opportunities for growth.
In addition to the duties and responsibilities outlined for Levels 1 and 2, Level 3 encompasses a more advanced scope of work, requiring a higher degree of expertise, autonomy, and leadership. This role assumes greater accountability for complex projects, strategic decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration, often serving as a key point of contact for critical initiatives. Candidates for Level 3 should demonstrate a proven track record of delivering high-impact results, mentoring junior team members, and driving operational excellence through innovative problem-solving and process improvements. Proficiency in advanced technical skills, industry-specific knowledge, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels are essential for success in this position.
Conduct control system life cycle management initiatives encompassing inventory tracking, obsolescence mitigation strategies, spare parts administration, and strategic upgrade and replacement planning.
Support control system maintenance and facilitate the development of test plans as needed, execute software upgrades, conduct ESD testing, perform both offline and online testing, and manage coordination of activities, whether during plant shutdowns or regular operations.
We are responsible for developing and overseeing maintenance schedules for metering systems, encompassing custody transfer, allocation, regulatory compliance, and leak detection applications.
Assist in organizing and managing activities associated with control system cybersecurity to ensure seamless execution and alignment with security objectives.
Review all systems to ensure alignment with the organization’s Industrial Control System Requirements (CSR), thereby mitigating potential cybersecurity threats.
Engage collaboratively in cross-functional initiatives focused on optimizing alarm systems, encompassing activities such as alarm rationalization, prioritization, the creation of state-based alarm strategies, and the design or modification of alarm configurations.
Review, revise, and generate instrument and control technical documentation and drawings, such as PIDs, cause-and-effect diagrams, and control narratives.
Visit production affiliate offices and facilities to provide onsite assistance or implement new global support initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering—or a comparable field—or relevant professional experience in lieu of formal education is required.
Proficiency in discipline-specific design standards, technical specifications, codes, and established safety protocols is essential.
Proficient in assessing, refining, and maintaining cause-and-effect relationships, PIDs, logic and architecture diagrams, as well as control narratives.
Proficiency in specifying, implementing, and configuring hardware components such as pressure, temperature, and level instruments, along with control and shutdown valves, is required. Additionally, experience in working with fire and gas detection systems according to ISA data sheet standards is essential.
Proficient in gathering and evaluating data using standard database systems and analytical software, including SAP, Excel Analytics, and Tableau.
Ability to thrive under tight deadlines, manage substantial workloads, and adjust to shifting priorities with flexibility and resilience.
Skilled in utilizing the Microsoft Office suite of software applications with proficiency.
Fluid proficiency in English—both written and verbal—is essential, particularly for conveying technical and business-related information effectively.
