Job Purpose

The Lead Consultant Pathologist will provide expert leadership and oversight for all diagnostic pathology services at ACE, ensuring precise and timely diagnoses by evaluating laboratory specimens such as tissue samples, blood, and other bodily fluids to uphold high-quality, patient-centered care. Additionally, the position involves supervising pathologists and laboratory personnel, maintaining compliance with quality standards, and advancing innovation in diagnostic methodologies.

Drives critical account strategies to ensure alignment with organizational objectives, overseeing key client relationships and delivering measurable business growth. Leads cross-functional teams to execute tailored solutions, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention. Analyzes market trends and competitive dynamics to refine account plans, optimizing revenue streams and expanding market share. Monitors account performance metrics, identifying risks and opportunities to proactively address challenges. Collaborates with internal stakeholders to align resources and capabilities, fostering long-term partnerships. Develops and implements account-specific action plans, tracking progress against KPIs and adjusting strategies as needed. Develop and enforce best practices and standard operating procedures within the pathology department to ensure consistency and efficiency.

Qualifications

Earned a medical degree, specifically an MBBS or equivalent qualification, from an accredited institution.

Board certification in Pathology and valid medical license to practice in Nigeria.

Postdoctoral education in pathology or an equivalent field is highly advantageous.

A decade or more of post-fellowship diagnostic pathology experience is required, with extensive exposure to subspecialties.

Proficiency in histopathology, cytopathologic, and molecular pathology is required.

Extensive expertise in laboratory quality management systems and stringent adherence to regulatory compliance are essential.

Skilled in utilizing sophisticated diagnostic technologies and laboratory information systems.
