Job Summary
The Restaurant Supervisor will oversee a team of kitchen staff and ensure the smooth daily operations of the kitchen, which involves maintaining equipment cleanliness, monitoring supply levels, and rotating food stock.
Oversees and manages the workflow among team members responsible for food preparation, kitchen operations, pantry inventory, and storage areas, while also leveraging available food surpluses and leftovers to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
Oversee a comprehensive range of duties encompassing strategic planning and operational execution to ensure organizational goals are met efficiently. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to optimize workflow, enhance productivity, and maintain high standards of quality across all projects. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of three years of experience in software development, preferably using Python, Java, or C++. Strong problem-solving skills and proficiency in data structures and algorithms are essential. Familiarity with web frameworks such as Django or Spring Boot is a plus. Excellent communication abilities to collaborate effectively in a team environment are necessary. Must be able to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently under tight deadlines.
Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree, or an equivalent qualification, is required.
Commercial cooking experience, ideally within a restaurant or hotel setting, is required. Vocational training in catering, while not mandatory, would be considered beneficial.
Proficiency in management or supervisory roles will be considered an asset.
Proven capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining focus, accuracy, and efficiency under dynamic conditions.
Proficient in reading and writing with a strong command of language fundamentals.
