Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Technical Support Officer to oversee and maintain our organization’s daily IT and technical operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing hardware, software, training, and network systems, delivering technical assistance to staff and customers, safeguarding data security, and ensuring seamless technology operations across all departments while upholding stringent information security standards.
Oversee and execute critical duties encompassing strategic planning, operational management, and cross-functional coordination to ensure organizational objectives are met efficiently. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance productivity, maintain compliance, and mitigate risks. Collaborate with senior leadership to align departmental goals with broader company initiatives, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Monitor performance metrics, analyze data trends, and provide actionable insights to drive informed decision-making and sustainable growth. Serve as a liaison between teams to facilitate seamless communication, resolve conflicts, and optimize resource allocation. Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and ethical guidelines while promoting innovation and adaptability in a dynamic business environment.
Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Oversee the ongoing operation and upkeep of the company’s IT infrastructure, encompassing servers, internet connectivity, and email systems.
Deliver primary technical assistance to employees and clients regarding hardware and software challenges.
Investigate and resolve system and network issues, identifying and correcting hardware and software malfunctions as needed.
On-site installation, configuration, setup, technical support, and delivery of hardware and software solutions to the client are required.
Address incoming calls promptly, documenting each interaction thoroughly and escalating issues to designated support vendors or clients as necessary.
Responsible for documenting repairs, fixes, and maintenance activities in detailed records and logs while ensuring adherence to established maintenance schedules.
When individual training sessions are deemed necessary, deliver personalized instruction tailored to the specific needs and learning pace of the individual.
Maintain the integrity and protection of data, network access, and backup systems.
Create new user accounts and profiles while resolving password-related issues.
Oversee the administration of software licenses and oversee timely updates to maintain system integrity. Additionally, verify adherence to established IT policies to ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
Suggest and execute enhancements to IT infrastructure and operational workflows to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
Build and maintain strong partnerships with IT vendors and service providers to guarantee prompt support and efficient maintenance of systems.
Candidates must possess a minimum of three years of relevant experience in a comparable role, coupled with a bachelor’s degree in a related field. Proficiency in data analysis, project management, and exceptional communication skills are essential. Familiarity with industry-specific software, tools, or methodologies is required, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strong problem-solving capabilities and adaptability to changing priorities are also necessary.
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant discipline is required.
A minimum of two to three years of hands-on experience in an IT support or systems administration capacity is required.
Proficient in computer systems, mobile devices, operating systems such as Windows and Mac, as well as LAN and WAN networks.
Proven expertise in identifying and resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues through systematic troubleshooting methods.
Possesses strong proficiency in Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, antivirus systems, and backup solutions.
Proficient understanding of fundamental cybersecurity practices and data protection principles is required.
Possesses exceptional analytical abilities, effectively communicates ideas, and fosters collaborative relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
Demonstrates proficiency in both autonomous and team-based work settings, adapting seamlessly to individual and collaborative tasks within a team-focused culture.
Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems or other comprehensive business management software solutions is required.
Demonstrated proficiency in web and server administration practices is required.
Certifications like Compton A+, Network+, or the Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCIT) qualification are beneficial.
Fluency in both written and spoken English is a fundamental requirement for this position.
