Job Summary

The Field Agent plays a pivotal role in driving customer acquisition, mobilizing savings, monitoring loans, managing collections, and fostering strong relationships within designated areas.

This position requires frequent travel to customers’ residences, commercial sites, markets, and local communities to facilitate account initiation, validate loan applications, track repayment progress, and foster business expansion.

The successful candidate must demonstrate reliability, a strong commitment to achieving targets, an unwavering focus on customer satisfaction, and the ability to work effectively in field environments.

Oversee and execute critical tasks encompassing strategic planning, operational management, and team leadership to ensure organizational goals are met efficiently. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance productivity, compliance, and performance across departments. Collaborate with senior management to align initiatives with long-term business objectives while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), conduct data-driven analysis, and present actionable insights to stakeholders to drive informed decision-making. Ensure adherence to industry regulations, ethical standards, and company policies while maintaining robust risk management and compliance frameworks.

Proactively engage with potential clients to expand the customer base for savings and loan offerings.

Responsible for establishing and managing customer accounts in strict adherence to established company protocols and procedures.

Drive deposit growth initiatives and foster customer engagement to elevate savings account balances.

Perform on-site inspections and evaluations to facilitate customer onboarding and ensure compliance with verification protocols.

Conduct thorough evaluations of customers’ operational performance and financial stability to determine their eligibility for loan disbursement.

Perform verification exercises to confirm addresses and guarantors.

Track loan disbursement and adherence to repayment schedules, ensuring timely collections and addressing any delinquencies or discrepancies promptly.

Monitor loan repayments to ensure timely fulfillment and address any past-due accounts promptly.

Design and execute targeted strategies to recover delinquent loans, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and regulatory standards while maximizing financial returns.

Cultivate and sustain robust connections with clients as well as key figures within the community.

Educate clients about the range of financial products and services offered to ensure they make well-informed decisions.

Accurate documentation of customer interactions, collections, and field activities must be maintained meticulously.

Compile comprehensive field reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to document activities and findings accurately.

Achieve predetermined objectives for customer acquisition, savings mobilization, and loan recovery as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity is required. A minimum of three years of hands-on experience in IT support, network administration, or a closely related role is essential. Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues is mandatory. Familiarity with operating systems like Windows and Linux, as well as virtualization platforms, is highly desirable. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment are critical. Excellent communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders are also necessary. Certification such as Compton A+, Network+, or Security+ is preferred but not required.

A Bachelor’s, HND, or OND in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a closely related discipline is required.

Seeking candidates with a minimum of two years and up to five years of hands-on experience in positions such as Field Agent, Credit Officer, Loan Officer, Savings Mobilization Officer, or comparable roles.

Possesses exceptional ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with diverse teams, ensuring alignment and fostering productive working relationships.

Proven expertise in negotiation and adeptness in debt recovery are essential for this role.

Proven capability to operate autonomously while consistently achieving established goals.

Acquaints themselves with the local market dynamics and prevailing business conditions.

Demonstrated familiarity with lending and savings operations is required.

Skilled in operating smartphones and digital data collection applications with a high level of competence.
