Job Summary

The Warehouse Manager oversees all inventory and warehouse operations, maintaining precise inventory records while adhering to internal control policies. Additionally, the role involves managing warehouse staff effectively to ensure smooth and compliant operations.

This position encompasses the creation and implementation of inventory control strategies, the management of stock reconciliation processes, the preparation of detailed inventory reports, and the delivery of data-driven insights to enhance financial and operational decision-making.

Develop and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, productivity, and performance across assigned functions. Inventory management and financial record accuracy are critical responsibilities in this role, ensuring precise tracking of stock levels and meticulous maintenance of financial records to uphold operational integrity and compliance with accounting standards.

Responsible for managing all inbound logistics, inventory storage, order picking, packaging, shipment dispatch, and return processing in accordance with established company policies and internal control guidelines.

Implement and uphold FEFO (First-Expired, First-Out) and FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory methodologies while conducting regular cycle counts to maintain precise inventory valuation accuracy.

Oversee regular weekly, monthly, and unannounced physical inventory counts to guarantee prompt and precise reporting of stock levels.

Oversee daily cycle count reconciliations and conduct comprehensive stock takes, including thorough variance investigations, and promptly report any discrepancies to the operations manager.

Documentation and transaction processing tasks involve maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with established protocols, and facilitating seamless financial or operational transactions. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, adherence to regulatory standards, and proficiency in relevant software systems to track, verify, and archive essential data efficiently. Responsibilities include verifying transaction accuracy, updating documentation promptly, and collaborating with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies while upholding data integrity and confidentiality.

Oversee the creation of Goods Received Notes (GRNs), document any discrepancies, and implement inventory adjustments in strict accordance with the established approval workflow.

Maintain all required logs, including access, goods receipt, dispatch, maintenance, and cycle count records, to ensure comprehensive audit trail documentation.

Maintain thorough documentation of inventory items that are damaged, expired, or slow-moving to facilitate accurate financial provisioning.

A minimum of three to five years of progressive experience in warehouse or inventory management roles, including at least two years in a managerial position within Nigeria, is required.

Highly desirable candidates will possess prior experience in luxury retail or warehousing for high-value goods, particularly within the cosmetics sector.

Accomplished expertise in overseeing inventory control operations, conducting cycle counts, and performing stock reconciliation procedures.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including expertise in pivot tables, Lookups, and inventory analysis, is a mandatory requirement for this role.

Proficiency in Nigerian regulatory frameworks governing warehousing operations, including compliance with FIRS tax regulations, NAFDAC standards for cosmetics and perfumes, and customs documentation protocols for imported luxury goods, is essential.

Proficiency in Nigerian tax regulations pertaining to inventory write-offs, value-added tax (VAT) on stock, and statutory audit obligations is required.

Maintains a high level of integrity and excels in high-pressure environments.
