Role Description

This full-time position is located at Signal Alliance Consulting, a subsidiary of PATH. The role is centered on the Banking and Financial Services Industries (Basis). The Business Development Manager will be responsible for uncovering and evaluating new business prospects, fostering and sustaining robust connections with enterprise and mid-market clients, and accelerating revenue growth.

This position entails crafting and implementing strategic account plans, developing proposals and presentations, and overseeing complete sales cycles—from initial prospecting to final negotiation and deal closure.

The role involves partnering seamlessly with technical, product, and marketing teams to develop tailored solutions addressing client requirements, conducting thorough market and competitive research, and delivering precise sales forecasts alongside pipeline reports. Additionally, the position entails representing the company at industry conferences, assisting customer success initiatives and renewal processes, and proactively identifying avenues for cross-selling and upselling across PATH subsidiaries.

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience is required. Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools is essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary to perform the job effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are also required to collaborate with diverse teams. Familiarity with project management methodologies and adherence to industry regulations are expected. Candidates should demonstrate adaptability and a commitment to continuous learning. Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.

Candidates should demonstrate a solid background in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the technology, consulting, or related services industries—specifically within the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (FSI) sector.

Proven expertise in prospecting, lead qualification, deal negotiation, and closing, consistently achieving or surpassing revenue goals.

Demonstrated capability to establish, manage, and advance a sales pipeline, alongside the skill to generate precise forecasts and reports.

Demonstrated proficiency in communication, presentation, and stakeholder management, with a proven capacity to effectively engage and influence senior-level decision-makers.

A strong grasp of enterprise technology solutions—such as cloud computing, business applications, cybersecurity, and software services—or a demonstrated ability to rapidly acquire this knowledge is required.

Proven expertise in analytical thinking and problem resolution, encompassing comprehensive market research, strategic opportunity evaluation, and in-depth competitive analysis.

Proven ability to collaborate seamlessly with technical, product, finance, and marketing teams in dynamic, high-paced settings.

A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or a related discipline is required, while an advanced degree or pertinent certifications may provide a competitive edge.

Proficiency in the Nigerian and broader African business environment is essential, with a demonstrated track record of successfully managing clients based in Lagos and/or Abuja being highly advantageous.
