This position is a full-time opportunity within Signal Alliance Consulting, a subsidiary of PATH. The role centers on the Banking & Financial Services Industries (Basis). The Business Development Manager will be responsible for uncovering and evaluating new business prospects, cultivating and sustaining robust connections with enterprise and mid-market clients, and spearheading revenue expansion.

The position requires designing and implementing strategic account plans, crafting comprehensive proposals and presentations, and overseeing the entire sales process—from initial prospecting to final negotiation and deal closure.

The role involves close collaboration with technical, product, and marketing teams to develop tailored solutions that address client requirements, conduct thorough market and competitive analysis, and deliver precise sales forecasts and pipeline reports. Additionally, the position entails representing the company at industry events, assisting with customer success initiatives and renewal processes, and proactively identifying opportunities for cross-selling and upselling across PATH subsidiaries.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of five years of experience in software development, preferably in a leadership or senior technical role. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ is essential, along with experience in full-stack development, cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), and DevOps practices. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to design scalable solutions are critical. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are necessary to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) is preferred. Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) is a plus.

With a strong track record in business development, sales, or account management within the technology, consulting, or related services sectors—particularly in FSI—you bring valuable expertise to the role.

Proven expertise in prospecting, lead qualification, deal negotiation, and deal closure, consistently achieving or surpassing revenue objectives.

Demonstrates proficiency in building and managing sales pipelines while generating precise forecasts and reports.

Strong interpersonal, public speaking, and stakeholder engagement capabilities are essential, enabling effective interaction with and influence over key decision-makers.

A strong grasp of enterprise technology solutions—such as cloud computing, business applications, cybersecurity, and software services—or the demonstrated ability to rapidly acquire relevant expertise is required.

Demonstrated proficiency in analytical reasoning and problem resolution, encompassing market research initiatives, opportunity evaluations, and competitive assessments.

Proven ability to collaborate seamlessly with diverse teams—including technical, product, finance, and marketing—within dynamic, high-speed settings.

A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or a closely related field is required; holding an advanced degree or pertinent certifications is advantageous.

Proven expertise in the Nigerian and wider African business environment is essential, with a strong preference for candidates who have successfully managed clients in key markets such as Lagos and/or Abuja.
