Support the implementation of R-DATS project development, research, monitoring, and evaluation activities.

This role offers a prime chance to develop significant practical expertise in research methodologies, data collection techniques, and information management.

The NYC Survey Data Analysis Intern will undertake a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to conducting data collection, processing, and analysis in alignment with established methodologies. Additionally, the intern will support the development of analytical reports, assist in identifying key trends and insights from survey data, and contribute to the creation of visualizations to effectively communicate findings. Collaboration with team members and adherence to project timelines will be essential to ensure the successful completion of assigned tasks.

Support the execution of research initiatives, including baseline studies, impact assessments, and mid-term evaluations.

Contribute to the development of data collection instruments and analytical frameworks.

Assist with gathering, inputting, processing, verifying, and refining data to ensure accuracy and integrity.

Ensure adherence to all established data quality protocols throughout the stages of data collection and data cleaning processes.

Responsibilities include gathering and organizing data, performing preliminary analysis, creating visual representations of data, compiling reports, and effectively sharing findings.

Collaborate with the RATS team to compile reports, aggregate data, and share success stories and key takeaways.

Facilitate daily research coordination in alignment with established project implementation schedules.

Perform additional responsibilities as directed by the supervisor, including any tasks deemed necessary to support operational objectives.

Requirements

A Bachelor of Science degree in Demography, Economics, Statistics, Sociology, Public Health, or a closely related quantitative discipline is required.

Proficiency in using State or SPSS for analyzing survey data is essential.

Seeking candidates with robust quantitative abilities and a working knowledge of data visualization and statistical tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Microsoft Excel.

Individuals with a proven track record in research execution, analysis of survey data, and implementation of monitoring and evaluation frameworks for programs are strongly preferred.

Proficiency in handling extensive secondary datasets, including MICS, DHS, and NARKS, is highly beneficial.

Proficient in English verbal and written communication, coupled with a dedication to quality and meticulous attention to detail.

Demonstrated cultural awareness and a proven capacity to collaborate effectively within diverse team environments.

Demonstrates strong self-sufficiency, analytical thinking, and the initiative to seek assistance when necessary.

Demonstrated expertise in utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and PowerPoint, is required.

Candidate Status:
