Our client, a prestigious fine dining establishment in Lagos, is seeking a seasoned Restaurant Manager with a proven track record of excellence, unwavering standards, and meticulous attention to detail. This position is reserved for seasoned professionals with substantial industry experience. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership at an elevated level and possess a deep understanding of the elements required to consistently provide an outstanding dining experience for guests.

What you will do:
Ensure flawless front-of-house operations, delivering consistently exceptional service for every guest served.
Direct and oversee the service team to ensure adherence to exacting standards regarding professional behavior, appearance, and operational excellence.
Oversee reservations, floor layouts, and guest circulation with meticulous attention to detail and a composed demeanor.
Manage high-value guest relationships, address complaints, and fulfill special requests with professionalism and discretion.
Collaborate efficiently with the culinary team to maintain uniformity in timing, presentation, and menu expertise throughout the staff.
Collaborate closely with the accounting team to analyze and optimize the restaurant’s financial performance, overseeing critical areas such as budget development, expense management, profit and loss statements, and revenue tracking.
Oversee expenditures, inventory levels, and waste management for food and beverage operations while leading supplier negotiations to ensure cost efficiency and supply reliability.
Monitor payroll, staff scheduling, and labor expenses to ensure alignment with established targets.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene regulations consistently throughout all operations.
Prepare comprehensive reports on financial performance, staffing metrics, and operational priorities for review by ownership.
What we are looking for:
With a minimum of five years of leadership experience in a fine dining or upscale full-service restaurant setting, particularly within Lagos Island, you will bring proven expertise to this role.
Profound expertise in culinary arts, wine selection, and the meticulous standards of fine dining service.
Demonstrated expertise in recruiting, leading, motivating, and developing a high-performing professional service team.
Demonstrates exceptional financial expertise, encompassing proficiencies in budget development, expense control, and profit-and-loss analysis.
Proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally, with strong interpersonal skills to foster productive professional relationships.
Demonstrates exceptional precision in service delivery, presentation standards, guest interactions, and all reporting obligations.
Maintains composure in high-pressure situations while demonstrating exceptional judgment and problem-solving proficiency.
Demonstrated expertise in utilizing restaurant point-of-sale systems, along with the ability to generate and analyze operational reports efficiently.
