Job Summary
A highly skilled and seasoned Builder, Construction Supervisor, or General Foreman is required to manage the daily site activities for active construction projects.
The successful candidate will oversee on-site personnel, verify compliance with project plans and specifications, and uphold stringent safety and quality protocols throughout construction activities.
Oversee a diverse range of critical duties, including the development and implementation of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives while fostering innovation and efficiency. Manage cross-functional teams to drive project execution, monitor progress against key performance indicators, and deliver measurable results that support business growth. Collaborate with leadership to refine processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and maintain high standards of operational excellence. Additionally, prepare comprehensive reports to communicate performance metrics, address challenges, and propose data-driven solutions to senior stakeholders.
Ensure seamless daily management and oversight of site operations and construction activities.
Oversee and manage on-site personnel, including site workers, tradesmen, and subcontractors, to ensure efficient project execution and adherence to established protocols.
Ensure that all tasks are executed in strict accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) guidelines.
Monitor labor and material utilization on a daily basis, compiling and presenting detailed progress reports to stakeholders.
Collaborate effectively with site engineers, architects, and external vendors to address and resolve issues efficiently.
Perform systematic site inspections to verify adherence to quality standards and maintain timely project progression.
Ensure strict adherence to established health and safety protocols by all personnel and promptly document and report any incidents to the appropriate authorities.
Responsibilities include documenting daily work activities, tracking workforce attendance, and monitoring equipment utilization.
Proactively identify and communicate any potential delays or issues to management in a timely manner.
Professionals must possess a meticulous ability to identify and assess the precision of vertical and horizontal alignments, surface finishes, and intricate finishing details.
Prepare and submit site reports on a daily or weekly basis to ensure accurate and timely documentation of activities, progress, and any deviations from established plans.
Seeking a highly motivated professional to join our team, the ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field along with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in the industry. Proficiency in key software tools and strong analytical skills are essential, while excellent communication and project management abilities will greatly enhance your success in this role. You will be responsible for overseeing key projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring all deliverables meet the required standards. A Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Building Technology, Construction Management, or a closely aligned field is required.
With a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in overseeing construction operations, you will bring a strong foundation in project leadership and coordination to our team. Your background will demonstrate your ability to manage teams, ensure adherence to safety protocols, and maintain high standards of quality throughout project execution. This role requires proven expertise in directing construction activities while balancing efficiency, cost control, and timeline management.
CARBON registration is required for this position, ensuring compliance with organizational protocols and eligibility verification. Candidates must complete the registration process as a mandatory step before commencing any duties or responsibilities associated with the role. Failure to adhere to this requirement may result in disqualification from consideration or delays in the hiring process. The registration process involves submitting necessary documentation and meeting specified criteria to validate qualifications and professional standing.
HSE Certification at Levels 1 through 3 (or in active pursuit of such certification) is required.
Proficient in analyzing and interpreting architectural and structural drawings with precision and clarity.
Leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills are essential for effectively guiding teams, fostering collaboration, and addressing challenges constructively.
Accomplished in the preparation and maintenance of comprehensive site documentation, as well as the generation and analysis of detailed reports.
Able to maintain high levels of physical fitness and perform effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced work environments.
