Role Summary

The Corporate Driver ensures the safe, dependable, and punctual conveyance of company executives, staff members, and essential deliveries.

This position is responsible for maintaining assigned vehicles in optimal condition, ensuring strict compliance with all traffic regulations, and upholding the highest standards of professionalism during all company-related movements.

The successful applicant should demonstrate strong self-discipline, reliability, and a professional appearance, along with extensive experience navigating corporate routes in Lagos’ busy traffic.

Oversee core duties encompassing strategic planning, team leadership, and operational execution to ensure organizational objectives are met efficiently. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance productivity, compliance, and performance across departments. Collaborate with senior management to align business goals with actionable initiatives, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess progress, identify areas for optimization, and drive data-informed decision-making. Serve as a liaison between leadership, employees, and external stakeholders to facilitate seamless communication and alignment with company vision. Manage cross-functional projects, allocate resources effectively, and mitigate risks to safeguard operational integrity and sustainability.

The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely transportation of personnel, equipment, and materials to designated locations. This role requires operating and maintaining various types of vehicles, including vans, trucks, and specialized equipment, while adhering to all traffic laws and organizational safety protocols. Additionally, the position involves conducting pre- and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle functionality and reporting any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly. The individual must possess a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with an appropriate class and any required endorsements, along with a clean driving record. Strong time management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential for success in this role.

Ensure prompt and secure conveyance for executives, personnel, and designated official duties.

Transport company vehicles for a variety of assigned duties, including meetings, deliveries, errands, and corporate events.

Ensure the timely collection and delivery of staff and goods, adhering strictly to scheduled timings.

Handle all company-related travel and movements with strict confidentiality, ensuring sensitive information remains secure at all times.

Oversee the upkeep and repair of company vehicles to maintain optimal operational efficiency and safety standards. Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues before they escalate, ensuring compliance with manufacturer guidelines and regulatory requirements. Perform necessary repairs and maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and engine diagnostics, using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment. Maintain accurate records of all service activities, including dates, parts replaced, and labor performed, to support warranty claims and ensure regulatory compliance. Collaborate with fleet managers and service providers to schedule preventive maintenance and address urgent repair needs promptly. Stay informed about industry advancements in vehicle technology and maintenance techniques to enhance service quality and cost-effectiveness.

Perform a thorough inspection of the assigned vehicle on a daily basis prior to its operation.

Maintain optimal vehicle condition by ensuring proper fueling, checking oil levels, monitoring water levels, verifying tire pressure, and addressing any overall vehicle maintenance needs.

Maintain the cleanliness of both the interior and exterior of the vehicle consistently.

Promptly notify management of any mechanical malfunctions or operational concerns.

Plan and conduct periodic maintenance and service checks to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and operational safety protocols through vigilant oversight and implementation of comprehensive compliance measures, while fostering a culture of accountability and risk awareness across all levels of the organization.

Comply rigorously with all traffic laws and safety regulations at all times.

Verify that all passengers adhere to seat belt usage and other essential safety protocols at all times.

Maintain safe driving practices at all times, adhere strictly to speed limits, and ensure vehicles are used only for authorized purposes.

Hold a valid driver’s license consistently throughout employment.

Provides essential logistics support to ensure efficient operations, coordinating the procurement, distribution, and inventory management of materials and resources. Maintains accurate records of shipments and deliveries, monitors supply levels, and addresses discrepancies to uphold operational readiness. Collaborates with internal teams and external vendors to optimize workflows, reduce delays, and enhance overall supply chain performance.

Facilitate the transportation and retrieval of official documents, supplies, and other materials as assigned, ensuring timely and secure delivery to designated recipients.

Facilitate the timely delivery of goods to clients or designated company facilities as needed.

Dedicate meticulous attention to the precise management and secure transportation of all entrusted items to uphold their integrity throughout the process.

Knowledge of cloud platforms, cybersecurity best practices, and DevOps methodologies is preferred.

A recognized Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or its equivalent is required.

Holding a valid Nigerian driver’s license is required for this position.

A minimum of seven years of demonstrated driving proficiency, encompassing both corporate and commercial contexts, is required.

Demonstrates a strong understanding of Lagos’ road networks and traffic dynamics.

Working Conditions:
