We invite applications for the position of Junior Accountant, a role that requires a keen eye for detail and strong analytical abilities, to become a valued member of our finance team.
The successful applicant will provide support for routine accounting duties, including financial reporting, reconciliations, and the facilitation of month-end and year-end procedures.
Oversee a comprehensive range of duties encompassing strategic planning, team leadership, and operational execution to ensure organizational objectives are met efficiently. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance productivity, quality, and compliance with industry standards. Lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and accountability to drive project success and innovation. Monitor performance metrics, analyze data trends, and provide actionable insights to optimize workflows and resource allocation. Serve as a liaison between senior management and operational staff, facilitating clear communication and alignment of goals. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and safety protocols while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and ethical conduct.
Prepare financial statements and management reports with precision and thoroughness.
Duties involve executing routine bookkeeping activities such as recording transactions and managing ledger accounts on a daily basis.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations along with various account reconciliations as required.
Provide support in the preparation and management of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions to ensure accurate and timely financial processing.
Compile and arrange all necessary documentation to facilitate audits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Oversee the maintenance of precise financial records and ensure all documentation is properly completed and filed.
Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts to ensure accurate financial planning and resource allocation.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to verify the precision of financial information.
Support the finance team by executing all assigned responsibilities efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
A minimum 2:1 honors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline is essential.
Seeking candidates with a minimum of zero up to three years of professional accounting or finance experience, with a cap at three years in the field.
Demonstrated knowledge of fundamental accounting principles and financial reporting standards is required.
Requires strong expertise in Microsoft Excel and accounting software tools such as QuickBooks, Sage, or equivalent platforms.
Proven ability to maintain meticulous accuracy and conduct thorough data analysis with precision.
Effective interpersonal and time management skills are essential.
Demonstrates strong capacity to function both autonomously and collaboratively while maintaining efficiency in a dynamic and high-velocity workplace.
A background in student memberships or professional certifications from organizations such as ICAN, ARCA, or CFI would be beneficial, though not essential.
