Job Summary

Our client, a distinguished legal organization, is actively seeking a Litigation Associate with two to three years of post-call experience. The preferred candidate will possess a proven track record in core litigation practice, coupled with exceptional professional judgment, unwavering integrity, and the capacity to operate autonomously within a dynamic legal landscape.

Oversee and execute a range of critical duties, including but not limited to strategic planning, project management, and team coordination. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and performance metrics to enhance operational efficiency and ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Conduct thorough research, analyze data, and prepare comprehensive reports to inform decision-making processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster innovation, resolve challenges, and drive continuous improvement. Maintain compliance with industry regulations, standards, and best practices while mitigating risk. Serve as a liaison between departments, senior leadership, and external stakeholders to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration. Monitor progress, evaluate outcomes, and provide actionable feedback to optimize results. Lead initiatives that support long-term growth, sustainability, and competitive advantage.

Manage litigation matters independently of initial filing through to final resolution, requiring minimal oversight.

Prepare comprehensive legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, motions, and formal written submissions.

Perform comprehensive legal research and deliver well-reasoned legal opinions.

Appear in court as needed, delivering compelling representations on behalf of clients with professionalism and precision.

Oversee case files while maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring timely follow-up.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to address intricate legal issues and contribute to comprehensive legal solutions.

Safeguard all client and organizational information with the utmost discretion and confidentiality, ensuring that sensitive data remains protected at all times.

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least five years of progressive experience in a comparable role are essential. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools, along with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, is required. Candidates should demonstrate a proven track record of leading projects, managing teams, and delivering measurable results. Familiarity with current industry trends and compliance standards is also necessary. Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail are critical for success in this position.

Earned a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree, equipping you with a comprehensive understanding of legal principles, frameworks, and practices essential for a career in the legal field.

Called to the Nigerian Bar (B.L.) and possesses 2–3 years of post-call professional experience.

Experienced professionals with a strong background in core litigation practices are required.

Proficient in analytical problem-solving, demonstrating the ability to evaluate complex situations and implement effective solutions with precision. Strong proficiency in communication, both written and verbal, ensuring clarity and professionalism in all interactions.
