A leading communications technology company, specializing in messaging services through WhatsApp, voice, and SMS alongside a bill and utility payment platform, is currently seeking a skilled QA/Software Tester. The successful candidate will uphold software quality by conducting thorough manual and automated testing to identify defects, evaluate test outcomes, refine testing methodologies, and document issues with precision while fostering strong collaboration with developers and key stakeholders. As part of this role, your key duties will include planning, organizing, and executing tasks to achieve established objectives while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement strategic solutions. Additionally, you will monitor progress, analyze performance metrics, and prepare comprehensive reports to support data-driven decision-making. Define the test scope, methodology, traceability framework, and feasibility of automation. Develop and implement a robust, well-structured test approach to ensure comprehensive coverage and efficiency.
Design, create, and oversee structured test cases, scenarios, checklists, and test suites for both manual and automated testing processes. Additionally, prepare and administer test data to ensure precise and reliable validation.
Conduct comprehensive end-to-end testing, including integration, regression, sanity, UAT, and performance testing, both manually and through automated processes. Perform test case execution in accordance with a prioritized testing sequence to ensure thorough validation.
Create scenario-based checklists designed to enhance the efficiency of test execution preparation processes.
Create, document, and track requirement issues utilizing the issue log to ensure accurate recording and oversight.
Responsibilities include evaluating products by executing user stories and conducting comprehensive testing across the entire application, from the user interface (UI) to the back end. This entails assessing application functionality, performance, and security to ensure optimal operation and adherence to standards.
Maintain and enhance automated test cases and frameworks, ensuring robust and scalable solutions. Additionally, integrate these automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to facilitate ongoing quality assurance processes.
Defect Management involves systematically identifying, validating, logging, and tracking defects, ensuring they are documented with precise descriptions and assigned appropriate severity levels. Additionally, the role includes recognizing issues and gaps, while proactively recommending potential enhancements throughout testing processes to improve overall quality and efficiency.
Documentation and reporting responsibilities include preparing and maintaining detailed documentation of test strategies, test cases, and results, as well as compiling daily, status, and progress reports. Additionally, the role involves thoroughly reviewing specifications to assess their completeness, accuracy, and suitability for automation.
Maintain and enhance automated test suites to ensure they remain accurate, comprehensive, and fully aligned with evolving product requirements. Continuously update test cases and scripts to reflect new functionalities and modifications, guaranteeing robust validation of software performance and reliability.
Collaborate with development teams to assess requirements and design documents, provide guidance on testing approaches, and pinpoint areas with elevated risk or potential defects.
Requirement/ Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is required.
Minimum of two years of hands-on experience in software testing, IT quality assurance, business analysis, or product management following graduation.
Proficiency in Agile and Scrum methodologies, coupled with expertise in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), is essential for this role.
Proficiency in at least one automation framework—such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright—is required, with demonstrated expertise in Selenium using Java being essential.
Proficient in transforming manual test cases into automated scripts while maintaining meticulous error detection and resolution skills.

We offer an annual salary of 250,000, paid net of all applicable taxes and deductions. This position requires a minimum of five years of relevant experience in a leadership role, along with a proven track record in strategic planning and team management.
