We are in search of a highly proficient and seasoned Carpenter Foreman (Construction Projects) to oversee all carpentry and formwork operations at construction sites. The preferred candidate must possess extensive practical expertise in formwork, structural carpentry, and finishing works, with a focus on road, bridge, and culvert construction projects.
Oversees a comprehensive range of duties encompassing strategic planning, operational management, and team leadership to ensure organizational objectives are met with efficiency and precision. Facilitates cross-functional collaboration, fostering an environment of innovation and accountability while monitoring performance metrics to drive continuous improvement. Ensures adherence to company policies, compliance standards, and industry regulations, mitigating risks and upholding operational excellence. Develops and implements policies, procedures, and best practices to optimize workflows and enhance productivity across departments.
Oversee and manage all carpentry and formwork activities throughout the construction site.
Direct the assembly and installation of formwork for bridges, culverts, and road infrastructure, supervising a team of skilled carpenters throughout the construction process.
Skilled at analyzing technical drawings, blueprints, and construction specifications with precision and clarity.
Accurate measurement, precise cutting, and meticulous assembly of materials must be executed to ensure high-quality outcomes.
Supervise the installation of both wooden and metal formwork used in concrete structures.
Insure the highest standards of craftsmanship through meticulous inspection of all carpentry work performed.
Ensure all tools, equipment, and materials are kept in optimal working condition at all times.
Maintain strict adherence to established health and safety regulations throughout the site to guarantee a secure working environment for all personnel.
Organize and prioritize daily tasks to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to deadlines.
Assess and rectify technical or craftsmanship-related anomalies to ensure optimal performance and adherence to quality standards.
Requirements:
A minimum qualification of a Trade Test Certificate, Ordinary National Diploma (OND), or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Carpentry, Building Technology, or an equivalent discipline is required.
Possession of relevant certifications or vocational training is highly desirable.
A minimum of three to five years of hands-on experience in a supervisory carpentry role within construction projects is required.
Experienced in formwork carpentry for concrete structures, including bridges, culverts, and roads.
Proficient in interpreting and analyzing engineering and architectural drawings with precision.
Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively, fostering collaboration and driving performance while maintaining high standards of professionalism and accountability.
Proficient in the use of carpentry tools, materials, and construction techniques is required.
Attention to detail is essential, and we expect nothing less than excellence in craftsmanship.
Excellent analytical abilities and capacity to perform effectively in high-pressure environments are required.
Open to travel or relocation to project sites throughout Northern Nigeria as required.
