Job Purpose
The Assistant Security Supervisor plays a key role in assisting the Security Supervisor with the organization and oversight of daily security activities, ensuring the protection of personnel, visitors, assets, facilities, and sensitive company information.
You will oversee the supervision of security personnel, implement and enforce security policies and procedures, monitor access control systems, address incidents promptly, and ensure adherence to organizational security standards.
Oversee the execution of critical duties, ensuring adherence to established protocols and organizational objectives. Coordinate and facilitate cross-functional team efforts to optimize productivity and maintain high performance standards. Develop and implement strategic initiatives that align with company goals, while also monitoring progress to ensure timely and effective achievement of milestones. Serve as a liaison between departments to foster collaboration, resolve conflicts, and streamline workflows for improved operational efficiency.
Assess and oversee the duty roster to ensure the accurate deployment of outsourced guards to their assigned beats upon the commencement of duty.
Conduct thorough and vigilant patrols of assigned areas to deter, prevent, and respond to theft, sabotage, espionage, and damage resulting from both human actions and natural events.
Perform routine patrols of assigned areas to verify that outsourced security personnel consistently adhere to their duties as outlined in the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA).
Oversee shift operations to guarantee that no items depart the factory premises without proper authorization, and prevent unauthorized items or individuals from entering the facility.
Immediately notify the Supervisor – Safety and Security of any security breaches occurring on the factory premises.
Ensure all new employees, visitors, guests, contractors, and others are greeted in a courteous manner and accompanied to the designated office or department for their intended visit.
Ensure comprehensive and compliant documentation at every site by examining beat registers as needed and recording observations alongside actionable recommendations for enhancement.
Promptly address all security emergencies, providing thorough situation reports and meticulously completing both taking and handover reports at the conclusion of each duty shift to facilitate appropriate follow-up actions.
Collaborate with the contracted security provider and loading supervisors/clerks to facilitate seamless vehicular traffic and optimized parking arrangements.
Oversee the performance of contracted security personnel and deliver actionable, constructive feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required. Candidates must possess at least three years of relevant professional experience, with a strong background in software development, system architecture, or data analysis. Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is essential, along with proficiency in database management and cloud computing platforms. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are also necessary. Knowledge of agile methodologies and DevOps practices is a plus.
A degree in Operations and New Development (OND) or an equivalent qualification in a pertinent field is required.
A minimum of twelve months of pertinent professional experience is required.
