Job Summary:
The Blocks Production Officer will collaborate closely with the Production Officer to manage daily operational activities and manufacturing workflows for the production of MSHE building blocks and related machinery. This position entails supporting the coordination of production schedules, conducting rigorous quality assurance checks, resolving operational challenges, and contributing to continuous improvements in production efficiency.
Oversee a comprehensive range of duties encompassing strategic planning, operational execution, and stakeholder engagement to ensure organizational objectives are met with precision and efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement policies, processes, and initiatives that drive performance improvements and support sustainable growth. Lead project management efforts, allocate resources effectively, and monitor progress to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities. Serve as a primary liaison between departments, senior leadership, and external partners to facilitate seamless communication and alignment of goals. Conduct thorough performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and mentor team members to foster professional development and high-performance standards.
Assist the Production Officer in directing the manufacturing team and managing every phase of the production process.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and execute production schedules that align with customer requirements and ensure adherence to project deadlines.
Observe production operations closely to detect potential enhancements in workflow efficiency, levels, and product quality standards.
Assist with establishing and executing quality control policies and procedures to verify that products adhere to established standards.
Diagnose equipment malfunctions and partner with maintenance teams to expedite resolution of technical issues.
Offer comprehensive training and mentorship to production personnel regarding correct operational methods and established safety guidelines.
Examine production data thoroughly and compile detailed reports summarizing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for submission to the Production Officer.
Perform regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify any faults or irregularities and report them without delay.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Purchasing and Inventory, to align production requirements effectively.
Suggest innovative strategies to optimize processes and actively propose enhancements that drive overall operational efficiency.
Guarantee adherence to all relevant safety protocols, environmental standards, and regulatory mandates.
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with a minimum of three years of experience in software development, preferably within a cloud computing or DevOps environment. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go is required, alongside hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a demonstrated capacity for collaborative teamwork are essential. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) is highly desirable. The ability to work in fast-paced, agile settings and manage multiple priorities while adhering to strict deadlines is also expected.
A bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required.
A minimum of two to three years of hands-on experience in block production and machinery troubleshooting is required.
Experts in tackling challenges with a methodical approach, possess sharp analytical acumen, and demonstrate sound judgment in making informed choices.
Proven ability to collaborate seamlessly with the production team through outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is required.
Proven capability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously, effectively prioritize tasks, and maintain high performance under tight deadlines while ensuring quality deliverables.
Must possess a solid understanding of machinery operations and maintenance protocols.
