Our esteemed client, a well-regarded cashew processing enterprise with an extensive production infrastructure across Nigeria, is currently recruiting skilled and seasoned Shelling Machine Operators to fill urgent vacancies.
Oversee and execute a wide array of core duties encompassing strategic planning, operational efficiency improvements, and cross-functional collaboration to drive organizational success. Serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring alignment on objectives while maintaining clear communication channels. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and performance metrics to enhance productivity, compliance, and overall business growth. Lead project teams, allocate resources, and monitor progress to meet established deadlines and budgetary constraints. Identify emerging challenges, analyze data trends, and propose data-driven solutions to optimize workflows and mitigate risks. Mentor team members, foster professional development, and cultivate a high-performance culture through constructive feedback and recognition. Ensure adherence to industry regulations, ethical standards, and company values in all operational activities.
Operate shelling machines by loading raw cashew nuts into the equipment and overseeing the shelling process to ensure efficient and quality output.
Adjust machine settings—such as speed, pressure, and blade gaps—to align with not size, thereby reducing kernel breakage.
Perform thorough quality assessments of shelled kernels to detect any instances of breakage, residual shell fragments, or other irregularities.
Troubleshoot minor machine malfunctions, eliminate paper jams, conduct regular cleaning procedures, and escalate significant faults to the maintenance team for resolution.
Wear all mandated personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with established safety protocols, ensuring the use of gloves, goggles, and hearing protection at all times.
To ensure consistent in line with production quotas, maintain minimal kernel breakage rates throughout each operational cycle.
Accurately document machine runtime, production output, downtime, and maintenance activities to ensure comprehensive record-keeping.
The position necessitates a minimum of three years of relevant professional experience, along with a bachelor’s degree in a related field. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data management tools are essential for success in this role. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional communication abilities to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards is also required. Additionally, experience with project management methodologies and a track record of delivering results within tight deadlines are highly valued.
A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in operating shelling machines or comparable production equipment within a manufacturing setting is required.
Proficient in overseeing and fine-tuning machine parameters to optimize production efficiency.
Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail and a steadfast commitment to maintaining high-quality standards throughout all tasks.
Proficient in performing fundamental troubleshooting and routine machine maintenance tasks.
Possesses a solid grasp of occupational health and safety regulations and best practices.
Willingness to work in More-Ibafo, Gun State is a requirement.
We’re offering a competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $150,000 annually.
