Job Summary

The Area Sales Manager spearheads efforts to enhance sales performance, broaden market presence, extent distribution networks, and cultivate strong customer relationships across the designated territory, ensuring alignment with the company’s product offerings.

Oversee and execute critical duties encompassing strategic planning, operational oversight, and team leadership to ensure organizational goals are met efficiently. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to align initiatives, streamline processes, and enhance productivity. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and performance metrics to drive accountability and continuous improvement. Manage budgets, allocate resources, and monitor expenditures to optimize financial performance. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration while mentoring team members to achieve professional growth and development. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, ethical standards, and company policies to mitigate risks and uphold organizational integrity.

Craft and execute strategic sales plans for assigned territories to consistently meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals.

Enhance sales volume and strengthen market presence for diaper and hygiene product brands.

Oversee sales performance metrics and implement corrective measures as needed to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

Drive the attainment of revenue, distribution, and profitability targets across the designated territory while maintaining operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Identify, recruit, and cultivate high-performing distributors and essential wholesalers across the designated region, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and performance benchmarks.

Maintain strict adherence to all corporate policies, established pricing frameworks, and established credit guidelines.

Explore emerging markets and uncover untapped business prospects to drive growth and expand market presence.

Conduct thorough analysis of competitor actions, pricing strategies, promotional efforts, and emerging market trends to maintain a competitive edge.

Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate high-performing teams while maintaining accountability for performance and fostering a collaborative work environment. Responsible for delegating tasks, setting clear expectations, and providing constructive feedback to drive continuous improvement. Strong interpersonal skills are essential to effectively communicate goals, resolve conflicts, and build cohesive units. Experience in workforce planning, talent development, and performance management is required to align team capabilities with organizational objectives.

Oversee and lead the performance of Area Sales Executives, Sales Representatives, and Merchandisers to ensure alignment with organizational goals and targets.

Establish performance objectives and track team productivity to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Deliver consistent field coaching sessions, conduct route rides, and carry out performance evaluations on a routine basis.

Implement promotional campaigns and trade activities with maximum efficiency and effectiveness.

Ensure adherence to visibility and merchandising standards across all retail locations.

Strive to maximize the effectiveness of trade marketing resources and allocated promotional funds.

Develop and nurture robust partnerships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and critical business accounts to ensure sustained collaboration and mutual growth.

Address customer complaints and service-related issues in a timely and effective manner.

Explore avenues to expand business opportunities within the current customer base by identifying and leveraging additional needs, upsell potential, and cross-sell possibilities to enhance revenue streams and strengthen client relationships.

Job Requirement

A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a closely related field is required.

Requires a minimum of four to eight years of sales experience within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods sector.

Proficiency in diapers, baby care items, tissue products, sanitary products, or related fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) hygiene categories is strongly preferred.
