The Programs Officer will oversee the strategic planning, coordination, execution, and evaluation of all programs and projects under the RIO Foundation. This position guarantees that initiatives are executed efficiently, punctually, and within designated parameters, while also adhering to organizational objectives, donor specifications, and the needs of the community.
The successful applicant will be instrumental in enhancing program effectiveness by overseeing management, generating insightful reports, cultivating stakeholder relationships, and driving ongoing enhancements in project execution.
Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of duties, including managing project timelines, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring adherence to organizational policies and procedures. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimize operational efficiency, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement across departments. Prepare and present detailed reports on performance metrics, project progress, and resource allocation to senior leadership, facilitating data-driven decision-making. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to align objectives, resolve challenges, and foster a culture of accountability and collaboration. Maintain compliance with industry regulations and internal standards while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct in all activities.
Spearhead the strategic design, meticulous planning, and flawless execution of programs and projects.
Create comprehensive work plans, allocate budgets, establish timelines, and organize activity schedules in a detailed manner.
Facilitate on-site initiatives and cultivate relationships with recipients, collaborators, and local stakeholders to ensure alignment with program objectives.
Utilize established indicators and tools to systematically assess and track the effectiveness of program operations.
Gather, evaluate, and compile program data, outcomes, and success stories, ensuring accurate documentation and thorough analysis to assess effectiveness and inform decision-making.
Compile narrative and financial reports in a timely manner for both management and donors.
Ensure strict adherence to donor guidelines, organizational policies, and applicable regulatory frameworks throughout all operations.
Conduct a thorough assessment of potential risks associated with program execution and propose effective measures to mitigate those risks.
Develop and contribute to proposal writing efforts and concept note creation as needed.
Develop and coordinate training sessions, workshops, and community engagement initiatives to foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing.

Seeking candidates with two to five years of specialized experience in program or project coordination, preferably within an NGO or development-focused organization.
Exceptional proficiency in project management and organizational capabilities is essential.
Proficiency in managing projects funded by donors is beneficial.
Proven ability to convey information clearly and effectively, both in written and spoken formats.
Strong expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, encompassing Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is required.
