KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and execute Civic Education lessons that fully comply with established curriculum guidelines and learning objectives.
Foster a sense of civic duty, ethical principles, and national identity among students.
Evaluate student progress and deliver insightful, actionable feedback to support their development.
Tailor instructional approaches to accommodate varying learning preferences and requirements.
Facilitate comprehensive preparation for students to excel in WAEC examinations as well as internal assessments.
Ensure the implementation of efficient classroom management strategies alongside the enforcement of appropriate discipline measures.
The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a closely related field is required, along with at least three years of hands-on experience in software development. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ is essential, and familiarity with frameworks like Spring, Django, or .NET is strongly preferred. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are necessary to troubleshoot complex technical issues efficiently. Excellent communication abilities to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders are also required. The role demands meticulous attention to detail and the capacity to work in fast-paced environments while adhering to strict deadlines.
A bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Civic Education, or an equivalent discipline is required.
A valid teaching certification specific to the subject area or grade level might be a prerequisite for this position.
Proven ability to communicate effectively and maintain a well-organized, productive classroom environment.
Demonstrates passion and enthusiasm in inspiring and encouraging student participation.
TRCN certification is highly beneficial.
