Job Summary

The Programs Intern will deliver comprehensive administrative and operational assistance to the Programs Team, contributing to the effective execution of initiatives. This position is structured to provide practical exposure to the full spectrum of NGO program activities, including implementation, monitoring, reporting, and fostering community engagement.

Oversee the full spectrum of duties assigned to this role, which include managing day-to-day operations, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring adherence to organizational policies and procedures. Develop and implement strategic initiatives designed to enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall performance, while maintaining a focus on continuous improvement. Collaborate closely with senior leadership to align departmental goals with broader company objectives, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation. Monitor key performance indicators to evaluate progress, identify areas for optimization, and implement corrective measures as needed. Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution of issues. Additionally, prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to provide insights and recommendations to executive leadership, contributing to data-driven decision-making processes.

Provide support in the development and execution of program initiatives.

Contribute to the gathering, input, and evaluation of data as part of active initiatives.

Assist in the creation and compilation of reports, presentations, and program documentation.

Collaborate in the planning and execution of training sessions, workshops, and community outreach activities.

Perform fundamental research and gather contextual data to support proposal development.

Facilitate on-site visits and foster meaningful interactions with beneficiaries as needed.

Conduct a variety of general administrative tasks in support of the Programs Team’s operations.

Responsible for the organization, upkeep, and accuracy of program files and records to ensure compliance with established standards and procedures.

Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with a minimum of three years of experience in software development. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ is essential, along with experience in database management and web application development. Knowledge of software development methodologies like Agile and Scrum is required, and familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a team environment are also necessary.

Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree or have recently graduated with a focus on Development Studies, Social Sciences, Public Health, Education, or a closely related discipline.

Individuals should demonstrate a genuine passion for the non-profit and development fields.

Strong proficiency in both written and verbal communication is required.

Possesses fundamental proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Willingness to learn and ability to work in a team.
