Founded in 1973, IPAs is a global nongovernmental organization committed to eliminating preventable deaths and disabilities caused by unsafe abortion. Through collaborative efforts at local, national, and international levels, IPAs advocates for and ensures access to safe, dignified, and comprehensive abortion care, alongside counseling and contraception to reduce instances of unintended pregnancies.

In partnership with compassionate healthcare providers and professionals worldwide, IPAs confronts this critical yet often overlooked public health challenge in some of the most impoverished regions. While many governments and international donors prioritize other issues, we challenge the systemic social injustices that claim the lives of countless women in their most productive years.
