Job Summary

The Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, order fulfilment, and compliance with safety and quality standards. This role involves supervising warehouse staff, coordinating logistics activities, and optimizing warehouse processes to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness.

Job Details

Supervise and coordinate day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
Ensure efficient handling of goods to minimize errors, damages, and losses.
Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment to meet operational demands.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
Lead and motivate warehouse staff, ensuring adherence to work schedules and productivity targets.
Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide coaching and training as needed.
Enforce company policies and safety regulations within the warehouse.
Conduct performance evaluations and recommend improvements.
Ensure accurate inventory records through regular stock counts and audits.
Identify and address discrepancies in inventory management systems.
Implement quality control measures to ensure that products meet required standards.
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with suppliers, vendors, and transportation teams.
Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment to meet customer and business requirements.
Track and report on order processing metrics and identify areas for improvement.
Enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Ensure proper handling and storage of hazardous materials, if applicable.

Requirements

Strong understanding of warehouse and inventory management principles. 
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 
Certification in Warehouse Management, Supply Chain, or Logistics (e.g., CILT, APICS, CSCMP) is an advantage.
Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP software.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role. 
Experience managing large-scale warehouse operations in [industry sector, e.g., FMCG, Manufacturing, Retail, Oil & Gas, etc
