Job Brief:
As a Warehouse Officer, you will assist in managing inventory, coordinating supplies to customers and other outlets, coordinates daily warehousing activities and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. Your role involves performing a range of duties to support warehouse operations and ensure timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, managing inventory, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Ensuring accurate inventory levels.
Controlling inventory levels.
Updating inventory lists.
Performing regular physical inventories.
Assisting with inventory control.
Receiving and Dispatching:
Receiving and dispatching goods.
Verifying movements of stock.
Ensuring the accuracy of shipments and inventory transactions
Inspect and check incoming goods for damage, discrepancies, or defects, reporting any issues to the warehouse manager and coordinating with vendors or suppliers for resolution.
Perform physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock checks to ensure accuracy of inventory records and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and system data.
Documentation:
Ensuring the accuracy and relevance of all documentation relating to goods received and dispatched.
Reviewing Delivery Notes (e.g., Waybills), Goods Received Notes, and Loss Reports.
Warehouse Operations:
Ensuring efficient and effective use of warehouse space.
Organizing and maintaining inventory and storage areas.
Supervising cleaning, maintenance, and repair of the warehouse.
Ensuring accurate and neat stacking of commodities.
Other Duties:
Checking purchase orders against stock levels.
Preparing delivery schedules.
Coordinating maintenance and repairs of the storage facility.
Entering data into a database.
Liaising with the Warehouse Manager and transporters to ensure smooth dispatch of commodities.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and company policies governing warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
Previous experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or logistics support roles is preferred.
Basic understanding of inventory management principles, warehouse procedures, and safety guidelines.
Physical stamina and strength to stand or walk for extended periods, and perform manual tasks in a warehouse environment.
Attention to detail and accuracy in performing inventory counts, data entry, and recordkeeping tasks.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management software, barcode scanners, and Microsoft Office applications.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team, following instructions and collaborating with coworkers to achieve common goals.
