Vice Principal

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced female Vice Principal to join our educational leadership team in Benin City, Nigeria. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Principal to oversee the day-to-day operations of the school, foster academic excellence, and create a positive learning environment for students and staff.

Assist the Principal in developing and implementing school policies, procedures, and curriculum
Supervise and evaluate teaching staff, providing constructive feedback and professional development opportunities
Manage student discipline and promote a positive school culture
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and community members to enhance student achievement
Oversee the school’s academic programs and extracurricular activities
Assist in budget planning and resource allocation
Ensure compliance with Nigerian educational policies and regulations
Participate in the development and implementation of the school improvement plan
Act as the Principal in their absence, making critical decisions when necessary
Utilize educational technology to enhance teaching and learning processes
Coordinate and supervise standardized testing and student performance evaluations

Qualifications

First degree in Education, Mathematics or English language, Masters degree preferred.
Minimum of 5-7 years of teaching experience, with 3-5 years in educational administration or leadership roles
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff and students
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation
Demonstrated experience in student behavior management and fostering a positive school culture
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Proficiency in educational technology and its application in the classroom
Fluency in English
Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with educational trends
