Job Description
Able to complete job hazard analysis paperwork for each job site each day
Understand and setup work area protection as needed
Able to proficiently prepare and complete daily production sheets and redline job prints
Understand the proper usage of basic hand and power tools
Have a working understanding of the color code
Able to decipher fiber optic cable types (single-mode/multimode)
Able to properly strip and enter a fiber optic cable
Familiarity with Corning splice cases.
Able to build a splice case, label, dress and splice fiber optic cables
Basic OTDR and power meter/light source knowledge
Able to work independently on occasion
Become familiar with CTL prints and terminology
Ability to work in confined spaces
Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to work with internal and external customers
Must have strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively communicate with product vendors and customers
Ability to work from oral or written instructions and plan work without direct supervision
Possess proficient personal computer operations skills
Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and in various hours of the day or night and holidays as required
Must be able to respond to after-hours callouts, work overtime, shifts and weekends
Comply with all safety regulations and meet safety requirements to maintain a successful safety record
Assume all duties as assigned
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
