Job Description
The Contract Manager will be responsible for, among other duties, overseeing the full contract lifecycle, from initiation and negotiation to execution and renewal. This role entails ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards, managing risks, and maintaining accurate contract documentation. Key responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, collaborating with stakeholders to align terms with business objectives, and resolving disputes or discrepancies. Additionally, the Contract Manager will track contract milestones, monitor performance, and coordinate with legal, procurement, and operational teams to mitigate potential issues. Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills are essential, along with a solid understanding of contract law and negotiation tactics. Proficiency in contract management software and experience in the relevant industry are also required.
Oversee all vessel contracts from the commencement of the on-hire period through to the conclusion of the off-hire period, ensuring full compliance with the terms of the applicable charter party agreement.
Serve as the primary liaison between the client and the company throughout the duration of any charter agreement.
Evaluate the Scope of Work for all inquiries and tenders to confirm that the Company and the designated vessel(s) satisfy operational requirements, assessing both the vessel’s capacity and capabilities as well as those of its crew and supporting infrastructure.
Ensure Commercial is promptly informed of any scheduled downtime or issues that could disrupt charter party operations, impact invoicing, or strain client relations.
Work closely with the Offshore Director and the commercial team to facilitate regular client visits and ensure strong company representation within the Energy and Marine sectors.
