Technical Engineer

Job Summary

The Technical Engineer will be responsible for designing, manufacturing, and maintaining equipment for feed mills, poultry farms, and agricultural farmers.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in fabrication, welding, machining, and mechanical design to develop high-quality equipment that meets industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Manufacturing: Design, fabricate, and assemble agricultural and poultry farm equipment, including feed mill machinery, grain storage systems, and processing units.
Workshop Management: Oversee daily workshop operations, ensuring quality control, efficiency, and timely completion of projects.
Technical Design & Innovation: Utilize CAD software (AutoCAD) for drafting, designing, and improving equipment prototypes.
Maintenance & Repairs: Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on agricultural and poultry equipment.
Material Selection & Procurement: Work with procurement teams to source high-quality materials and components.
Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure that manufactured equipment meets safety and industry standards.
Team Supervision: Lead and train workshop technicians, welders, and machinists to enhance productivity and skills development.
Cost Optimization: Develop cost-effective engineering solutions while maintaining high product quality.
Collaboration: Work closely with farm managers, feed mill operators, and agricultural experts to understand their equipment needs and provide customized solutions.
Reporting & Documentation: Maintain technical records, drawings, and reports related to workshop operations and projects.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in an engineering workshop, preferably in agricultural, poultry, or feed mill machinery manufacturing.
Proficiency in welding, machining, fabrication, and mechanical assembly.
Experience with CNC machines, lathes, milling machines, and cutting tools.
Strong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical controls.
Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
