Job Description
The teacher’s job description includes planning lessons, teaching students, and assessing their progress. The Teachers also create learning environments, collaborate with colleagues, and promote student success.
Teaching:
Develop lesson plans based on curriculum guidelines
Teach students in a variety of subjects
Give lectures, demonstrate tasks, and assign homework
Encourage student participation and discussion
Create worksheets and other learning resources
Assessing:
Evaluate student progress in key learning areas
Develop and mark exams to measure student progress
Assess and report on student academic achievements and behavior
Planning:
Plan academic events and activities
Plan and oversee community outreach activities
Design and facilitate personalized learning goals and activities
Collaborating:
Collaborate with colleagues and parents
Recruit, train, and supervise tutors
Network with local school and community groups
Other Responsibilities:
Maintain records of class attendance
Keep the classroom neat and organized
Educate students on following school’s moral codes and behaviors
Requirements
Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree / HND in relevant fields with 3 – 4 years work experience.
