Job Summary
We are seeking a diligent Survey Technician to support our mine surveying activities.
The successful candidate will assist Survey Technicians in performing accurate surveys, handle equipment setup and maintenance, and contribute to the successful execution of surveying tasks in open-pit and underground mining environments.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in conducting mine surveys to ensure data accuracy and compliance with survey plans.
Handle the transportation, setup, and basic maintenance of surveying instruments.
Mark and stake out points for alignment with survey plans and engineering designs.
Support surveyors in both open-pit and underground mining operations.
Follow assignments and instructions to achieve project objectives.
Maintain equipment and ensure it is ready for use at all times.
Work collaboratively with team members to ensure the efficient completion of surveying tasks.
Requirements
Proven experience in survey work or an academic qualification in surveying or a related field.
Ability to work effectively in field conditions, including open-pit and underground environments.
Strong physical fitness to handle the demands of the role.
Hardworking, responsible, and committed to ensuring data accuracy.
Excellent ability to follow instructions and complete tasks as assigned.
Willingness to work onsite at the mining location.
Familiarity with surveying equipment and instruments.
