Storekeeper (Spares Store)

Location: Ibadan. Purpose

The candidate must have technical knowledge on truck spares and production machinery.
Good knowledge & use of MS word/excel/email.
That the company requires spares store to operate on an ongoing basis predisposes the need to designate a storage area for all spares.
The effective and efficient coordination of materials receipt, storage and issuance, is the major responsibility of this role.

Principal Accountabilities (IPE Factors: Impact & Innovation):

Ensure that materials carried in the store stock, is adequate, but not excessive, utilizing inventory tools of re-order levels, re-order quantities and safety stock to effectively manage the spares.
Implement materials management principle of first in, first out to manage the stock of in the store.
Ensure accuracy of stock, right from receiving point. Physical quantities are expected to align with navision figures all the time.
Ensure the safety of spares in the store through maintenance of stock level.
Ensure that the quality of spares taken into the store is assured and maintained.
Ensure accurate and timely transfer of required spares for trucks and production department on a daily basis.
Prompt service delivery to all other internal customers.
Regularly carry out a status check on all spares in store, to identify any that might be at risk of deterioration or obsolence and report same to the spares store supervisor for appropriate action
Keep stock variances to set target or below.
Ensure that the company’s laid down receiving and issuing PROCESSES AND PROCEDURES are adhered to all the time.

Accountabilities:

Maintain the hygiene of the storage environment by ensuring good housekeeping.
Keep the store equipment’s well used, maintained and safe.
Secure an above average monthly sanitation score.
Navision stock management – on real time.
Ensure that all costs associated with spares are kept under tight control, to eliminate all forms of waste.

Critical Qualifications, Skills and Experience (IPE Factor: Knowledge) The ideal candidate should have:

HND/B.Sc in Purchasing and Supply or in social science, or any related field, Accounting, professional qualification in purchasing and supply
A team player, highly organized, and able to proactively manage situation/problem with a focus on achieving set goals.
Must be numeric and accountable
Good oral and written communication skills
Assertive personality with ability to motivate others
Should possess a high level of integrity, honesty diligence, transparency and respect
Has a strong character and work ethics with a dedication for going the extra mile
Possess and demonstrate a strong will to achieve set targets, have a can do spirit
Ability to prioritize correctly and manage time.
Fastidious about every detail – a detailed person
Possesses a positive attitude
