STEM Learning Support Representative

earlySTEMer is an online platform for kids to learn practical technology skills such as Coding, Web Design, and Robotics.
Kids learn online, work on practical projects, and get one-on-one tutoring when they need help. We are looking for a Learning Support Representative to join our growing team full-time.
This person will be directly involved in raising the next generation of tech-savvy professionals by supporting them as they learn on our platform.

Responsibilities

Learn through self-paced courses to become familiar with different areas of technology (coding, web design, robotics)
Provide support to students learning on the platform. Support will be via chat and video conferencing calls in some cases. Support will include guiding exercises and projects, grading projects, and general communication to help students progress in their learning
Provide support for up to 12 hours daily on a shift basis (4 days per week, Monday through Sunday)
Facilitate learning for kids on practical technology skills e.g. take a group of kids through a coding course.

Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree qualification with 1 – 3 years work experience.
Strong empathy skills and ability to work effectively with children
Ability to think critically with great problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Willing to learn new things, especially in the area of Technology
Good use of Office suite applications (e.g. word processing, spreadsheets, presentations)
Computer science skills (e.g. Coding, Web design) are not compulsory but a plus
Attention to detail.
