Job Summary
The Social Media/Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing strategies to enhance LITF’s digital presence, promote trade initiatives, and engage key stakeholders locally and globally in line with the Chamber’s mission to promote trade and economic development in Africa and beyond.
Main Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Execution
Develop and execute comprehensive social media and digital marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
Plan campaigns to promote trade events, conferences, exhibitions, and programs.
Content Development
Create high-quality, engaging, and audience-focused content (videos, graphics, articles, etc.) across all digital platforms.
Oversee content calendars to ensure consistent, timely, and relevant posts.
Social Media Management
Manage and grow the Company’s social media presence on platforms including LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
Monitor online conversations and foster meaningful engagement with stakeholders.
Respond promptly to inquiries, feedback, and comments.
Analytics and Reporting
Track and analyze digital marketing metrics to measure performance (reach, impressions, conversions, and engagement).
Provide monthly reports with insights and actionable recommendations to improve outcomes.
Campaign Management/ Event Promotion
Plan and implement paid and organic digital campaigns, including social media ads, Google Ads, and email marketing/ Leverage digital tools to drive attendance and engagement at trade events, exhibitions, and conferences.
Optimize campaigns for maximum ROI and monitor budgets. Provide live social media coverage during events and post-event highlights.
SEO and Website Coordination
Collaborate with the web team to ensure the website is optimized for SEO and up to date with current campaigns. Publish trade-related content that improves search engine rankings.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Engagement Metrics
Increase follower base across all platforms by 50-60% annually.
Improve engagement rate (likes, shares, comments) by 30-35% per quarter.
Content Performance
Publish a minimum of 4-5 high-quality posts per week.
Achieve a minimum 15% increase in average content impressions per campaign.
Lead Generation and Conversion
Generate qualified leads through social media ads and digital campaigns for trade events.
Drive a minimum of 25% increase in attendance and registrations for events.
Website and SEO Performance
Increase website traffic by 30% – 40% through SEO optimization and campaigns.
Improve search ranking for trade-related keywords.
Campaign ROI
Meet or exceed ROI goals for paid campaigns, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
Reporting and Insights
Deliver accurate monthly analytics and performance reports with strategic recommendations.
Brand Reputation Management
Respond to all comments, inquiries, and feedback on social platforms within 24 hours.
Maintain a positive sentiment rate above 85% across all digital channels.
Event Visibility and Promotion
Achieve a 75 % increase in social media mentions and digital press coverage during events.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, social science, Diploma or Professional Certificate in Digital Marketing.
8-10 years of experience in digital marketing
Proven track record of success in digital marketing and relevant Professional qualification will be an added advantage.
Strong understanding of digital marketing and social media channels and tactics
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Knowledge of data analysis, report writing and good understanding and ability to follow Chamber’s policies and procedures.
Experience with digital marketing tools and platforms (Google Analytics 4, Google Ads Search & Display, Adobe Marketing Cloud, HubSpot)
